Lesson 1
Plan

Without planning, you won’t be able to get anywhere. The first step is to learn how to take a sample creative short from a production designer or art director and deconstruct it. Once you have created a unique outline using our Brief Builder, it is time to start collecting research and references in order to create a moodboard. Finally, Jan His most frequently used tools in Modo, Octane and Sketches will be covered. These can be used as a base for sketch creation during the early design phase.

Lesson 2
Production

You will use the design sketches you created in the previous lesson to guide you into the next lesson. Production Refine shapes and details in Photoshop during phase Jan His techniques for texture creation and material search will be covered. You’ll then create a Photoshop paintingover to show your building in its entirety. Then, we will focus on composition and framing in the next lesson.

Lesson 3
Framing the shot

To get the best out of your scene, let’s explore the possibilities for creatively framing the shots and directing the photography. Jan This course will discuss his process for creating lighting and atmosphere as well as how you can integrate them into your surroundings. The final step is to integrate these concepts into your buildings for the various images you produce.

It’s all about bringing it together

Review the compositions you have learned in previous lessons. Make final checks of materials, framing and lighting.
