Barry William Rosen – Indian Time Cycles and Market Forecasting (Article)
It’s a little-known fact that W. D. Gann visited India. and studied Indian Sidereal Astrology. We find in his notebooks sketches of the astrological symbols he has placed on his charts. and He also discusses his trip to India in his memoirs. Tea merchants used the Gann wheel in India’s seventeenth century for the first time.
Gann also talked about the importance to use the start date of when a commodity’s first futures contract began trading in order to predict its future. These starting dates are not used by many people to successfully time the markets, according to my experience. Indian These charts have been proven invaluable by sidereal astrology. One can verify the start time. and Date of the initial futures contract for a commodity and You can run Indian It can be used to create a sidereal natal chart. This chart can then provide accurate information for predicting and quantifying. and Labeling the major and Markets are governed by minor cycles that eventually lead to major trends.
Here is a quick introduction to Indian Sidereal Astrology was how I came to be familiar with it. These are the three main sections:
–an overview of the Vimsottari Dasha system (which I will subsequently refer to as Indian Time cycles
–the practical application of using Indian Time cycles to predict major movements and Changes in these movements in the stock exchange
–andA forecast for the stock market’s future based on Indian Astrological time periods
BEGINNINGS OF EARLY REsearch
My first interest was in Indian Astrology in 1985 when a jyotishi was (Indian (Astrologer) said that I was about to finish a twenty-year-old.-Year Venus Cycle and My life would change drastically in a year after I entered a new Sun cycle of six years. It was said that I would be famous, advance my career and change careers. and locations, and Changes in emotions from depressing times to more joyous ones and optimistic. Surprisingly, this is what happened a year later. I was a professor in film studies in Bloomington. Now, I am a student. Indian Astrology, investments and commodities, and Moving to southeastern Iowa. My ability to predict my life and I was very inspired by my friends to apply. Indian Markets and astrology. This connection became especially exciting when a friend of mine, who was a Gann expert, told me of Gann’s interest in Indian astrology.
The Western Zodiac and the Indian Zodiac
Indian Astrology dates back over 5000 years and the foundation of ancient science. Parashara was an ancient scientist or great seer who intuited the laws and space. and Time is responsible for evolution of consciousness and His findings were recorded in a book called Brihat Hora Sstra. Like all knowledge in book form over time, it became fragmented and It was lost as it migrated to other cultures and It was altered. However, in its purest form it is Indian Astrology has always been respected for its predictive capabilities; while Western astrology (with one notable exception: Medieval and Western astrology) excels in its analytical abilities. and Psychological insights
The main difference between the two is the first. Indian and The calculation of the longitudes of the planets is the basis of Western Astrology. Ancient Indian Astrologers noted that the equinoxes were observed by astrologers. and Precession is an astronomical phenomena that sees solstices move backward by one degree every 72-years. This has led to a slight difference of 23 degrees between the tropical Zodiac used by Western astrologers. and The sidereal Zodiac is used by Indian astrologers. In essence, the two systems differ in their choice of a zero point for Aries –the Western system uses the position of the spring equinox, while the Indian fixed star. According to the Western system, the Sun moves into Aries when it is at 6 degrees Pisces. Indian system. (For more information on the differences, please refer to my article in Winter 1989 NCGR Journal.

Transits Beyond Planetary Periods
A dasha is a period of time during which one’s life is influenced or governed by a particular planet. The Sun period, which is the shortest of the cycles, lasts six years while Venus lasts twenty years. These cycles are arranged in a predetermined sequence. and They will repeat for 120 years and You can start again. The order of these cycles is:
Ketu (Moon’s South Node): 7 years
Venus: 20 years.
Sun: 6 years.
Moon: 10 years.
Mars: 7 years.
Rahu: (North Node) 18 years.
Jupiter: 16 years.
Saturn: 19 years.
Mercury: 17 years.
The lunar mansion or constellation in which the moon was born determines where the cycle begins. When soybeans first started trading in 1936 the moon was in Orion’s constellation (nakshatra), which is ruled over by Mars. The sequence of cycles started with a seven year Mars period, then Rahu (North Node of Moon) followed by 18 years of Jupiter, 16 years and finally, the Saturn period which lasts for 20 years. If beans had been traded a day earlier, the cycle would have started from the next constellation which is ruled either by Rahu or North Node of moon. How long is the initial cycle? This will depend on how many times the moon has passed through a particular nakshatra. If the moon is in the last degree of a constellation, then the initial cycle will start in the last section. (Software is available for rapid computer calculation of these cycles–see references.)
There are sub-cycles within major cycles.-There are also subcycles, or periods that occur in a specific sequence. The planet ruling the major cycles begins the subcycle. and The cycle continues in this manner. For instance, the current Saturn phase for soybeans began in Sept. 1979 with a Saturn/Saturn time. and The Saturn/Mercury period of Sept. 1979 was followed by a Saturn/Ketu phase etc. 1996 will be the end of the major Saturn cycle. and The soybeans will then enter a major Mercury cycle, which includes Mercury/Mercury/Ketu and Mercury/Venus.
You must properly use the Indian Time cycles and their smaller periods, one must have the exact time of the start of the first future’s contract of a commodity. Any deviation of one minute can result in the prediction changing by 4 days. O’Non and Remnick uses a brilliant analogy drawn from physics to illustrate the importance and value of exact time:
Knowledge of the exact angle and time required to launch a rocket ship on the moon is essential. and The exact time and place of the launch are required. It may be launched at a different time. and angle, it will miss by between 30,000 and 40,000 miles.
I was required to travel to Chicago Board of Trade’s archives. and Other major exchanges can verify the tick start time and We have a complete collection of dates and Participants in my advanced seminars have access to me at all times.
The natal chart placements at birth determine the effect of the period. These periods’ positive and negative effects are determined by the house placement, houses he owns, houses he aspects, and planets that aspect him. and The sign he is in. For example, in a person’s natal chart that has Jupiter in Cancer in the 9th with Scorpio rising, a speculator in a Jupiter period lasting 16 years would expect astounding results, since Jupiter owns the 5th and The 2nd (speculation and Accumulated wealth) and It is considered to be the house of good luck. and Good fortune. Indian Astrology is a great tool for looking at one’s chart. and Identifying the best times to have luck and Good fortune. W.D. W.D. This is a belief that I have personally confirmed. Even if I have the best market timing, if my chart suggests losses or obstacles in the cycle, I will inevitably get bad fills or miss a major entry by one tick or get stopped out before my market moves my way.
In Indian Transits are weaker than astrology cycles and aspects. This idea can explain why some Western Astrologers feel frustrated by their analyses. According to Indian Astrology states that if the period under review is positive, bad aspects or transits will have a minimal negative impact. However, if it is negative, good aspects or transits may not have any effect. The underlying market sentiment is often represented by the cycle, or dasha. In a bear market, for example, there may be good news. and Although the market is unable to rally, the underlying sentiment stays bearish and No external event can alter it. It is also worth mentioning the Saturn/Uranus combination of February 1988 that was supposed to lead to a sequel to Black Monday. However, it failed to manifest, not only because of a special planetary combination (yoga) from Jupiter’s trinal aspect on its own sign, but also because the underlying period, Jupiter/Mercury/Sun, was neutral to slightly positive.
APPLICATION OF INDIAN CYCLES TO STROCKS
It is amazing how exciting it is to use dashas Indian Time cycles are useful for market prediction because it allows you to identify the date when cycles change and to label them. and To quantify whether they are strong or weak ups, ups and downs, as well as sideways. The stock market’s 204-year history can be viewed. and Knows the rules of prediction and Interpreting the Indian Dasha, or the time cycle system, would make it clear that the mysterious cycles that govern stocks are no longer a mystery. The 1982 bull market was not coincident with the 16th anniversary of the end of the previous year.-Year Jupiter period, which started in August. This system would predict that the market will continue expanding until 1998. Jupiter is an example of a revolving market. “bullish” Planet and The natal chart of May 17, 1792’s stock market chart shows that he is well-placed. Rises and Substitutions are used to explain falls in the current Jupiter cycle.-Periods, or antardasas. These sub-The strength of a major period can be amplified or diminished by periods.
In this 16-Year period, the transits and retrogradations of Jupiter and These aspects are particularly important because Jupiter is the chart lord and holds the second most important place in the NYSE chart. 1998 was the end of the Jupiter period. A 19-Year Saturn played the second-most important role.
A recent study of the NYSE will demonstrate how the dashas are useful in spotting short-term issues. and intermediate declines or rises. Certain combinations can lead to predictable results. You need to examine at least four or five levels or cycles in order for daily timing of the stock exchange. and 2-3-Year periods reduced to 20 and 3-4 day periods. Surprisingly, negative cyclical combinations on a larger scale scale often turn out to be negative on a smaller scale.
Comparison of October-February 1987-88 fourth level cycles (Jupiter/Mercury/Venus/Rahu etc.) With the third-level periods in 1901-1904 (Mercury/Venus/Rahu), reveals that major lows coincide with repetitions of certain combinations. This principle can also apply to segments of other cycles from other years. Take, for example, the following:
Venus/Rahu/Saturn: (8-28-29 to 2-17-30) Reduced from high of 372.06 9-03-29 to a minimum of 230.07 for 10-29-29. Jupiter/Mercury/Venus/Rahu/Saturn (Dec 4, 1987). A major low and After being as high at 2051 after the crash, the Dow fell to 1747.
Jupiter/Mercury/Venus/Venus/Rahu (October 19, 1987) The third level Venus period did contribute to the direction of the decline in combination with a number of bearish oppositions, the return to an eclipsed constellation, and The sidereal transit from Uranus to Sagittarius. This example shows how Venus/Rahu combinations can be used to indicate a sharp decline, if it occurs with a particular combination.
This particular Venus/Rahu combo is just one of many that one could label. and Historical study. Bullish combinations include when the sequence changes from a Sun period to a Moon phase and onto a Mars Period. For example, the stock market’s last major Moon Period went from August 1947-August 1957: The Dow climbed almost straight up from 179.74 a 492.32, an increase of more than 200%. The market rose from 776 to 492.32 during smaller moon cycles that occurred over longer periods (e.g. the Mars/Moon period between January 21, 1964 and August 21st 1964).-838. In the Rahu/Moon time period, January 31, 1980 to July 31, 1982, the Dow rose from 875-935. We can count on a rally occurring during a moon period on the third level, as well as on the current Jupiter/Mercury/Moon time period that ran from April 4, 1988 to May 13, 1988. We witnessed a surprise rally in the late May and The Dow rose from 2000 at its beginning to close to 2200 by the end.
The above examples demonstrate the value of being labelable and To predict the magnitude of a move, it is necessary to quantify the cycles. Many cycle analysts are aware that there can be major lows in a cycle. and Entry points are important, but it is possible to not know how big the move will be. The Indian Time cycle analysis is a real solution for forecasting, as it can accurately predict the future and not just provide suggestions from the past.

FUTURE OF STOCK MARKET BASED INDIAN CYCLES
A 19-1998 Saturn period was not very active in 1998-2017 will see some sideways activity, but we are likely to see a global economic reorganization in 2017.
CONCLUSION
Anyone who tries to unravel the mysteries of nature that underlie commodity markets will be rewarded and I was intrigued by the depths and beauty of Indian astrology. Astrology is the study of Indian Astrology is not just about understanding economic laws but also about the inner world. Understanding one’s Indian Cycles and Transits are just as important to trading as a good timing system. Combining both of these is extremely useful. and This leads to awe-Inspiring appreciation for the order of nature’s law. It is not possible to use astrology 100% to time market entry. and Exits, a combination astrological and spiritual and Technical signals and a knowledge of personal trading periods can certainly stack the odds in one’s favor and lead to the answer of one of man’s greatest metaphysical questions–the relationship between his own consciousness and The universe.
