She graduated from The George Washington Law School, Washington, DC. She graduated from Spelman College in Washington, DC and Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA. There she received a Bachelors of Science and a Bachelors of Engineering in Civil Engineering. Prior to She worked as both a patent examiner and a trademark examining attorney at the USPTO before launching the Firm.

Andrea is a member the Texas bar as well as the US Supreme Court bar. She is also registered as a Patent Attorney. She sits on the board for the United Inventors Association, and is a patent lawyer on MAKE48. She is the best-selling author of All About Inventing, and All About Trademarks.
