Art of Individuation /Â by Stephen Anthony Farah, MA
Art of Individuation – Art is the most important expression of The psyche, and its desire for existence. Through art, the artist explores the question. of Meaning, expression, and being. Art represents and, through symbolization, the unconscious opens up to reveal what was hidden. Art is creative and generative. It creates something new and refining the psyche in constant search of more congruent expression. Individuation emerges out of The subject may feel a similar creative impulse. Individuation refers to the subject’s ongoing search for more harmonious, refined, and reified symbolic expressions. of her unconscious psyche. Through her art, she brings being into the world and into existence. Through her existence in the world, the individuating subject expresses herself artistically. Both are modes and vehicles. of By using the creative imagination, you can express the unconscious psyche, and thus facilitate the realization of The Jungian âSelfâ or Blakeâs âRegenerated Manâ.

The Artist and Their Objects By Peter Merritt Dobey
Art making for an authentic artist is inseparable from their life, and though it can be taken away, it probably shouldnât be. It is more than an activity. of The authentic artist is the only way to express your life. of Puzzle solving and problem solving are two examples of art. But, it is also important to recognize that an internalized object can become externalized. It is more than a matter of expression. of Reprezentation or of âgetting it outâ but an act that literally allows you to exist. Through examples from my clinical practice with artists, and taking a look at Lacanâs treatment of The art-making process of James Joyce and Lacanian concepts of âLe SinthomeâI will also argue for its importance of leaving an artistâs symptoms intact, but allowing them to be utilized. I will also explore historical considerations. of If such phenomena are to be considered art, they should be considered symptomatic. âtreatedâThis article will show you how to think about symptomatic artmaking through clinical vignettes. of It is a good model to use by everyone of, and not remedy, oneâs symptoms.
My Fifty Year Journey with Work of Blake and Jung By Prof. Joseph Phillip Natoli

Let me start again: Blakean’s idea that our reality was first imagined prompted my interest in phenomenological psychotherapy, which acknowledges the differing existences created by those who are in therapy and those who report those differences to the analyst.
A third context is the hyper-hyped consciousness of In the postmodern world, hyper- refers primarily to the self-reflexivity of Consciousness, the ability to jump back on our reality making ways. Hyped- refers only to the impact of Spin, spectacle and the commodification or consciousness.

World Worlding By Mark Rautenbach
Artist Mark Rautenbach resides and works in Cape Town, South Africa. For him, art is a means of communicating with the Shadow. He defines the Shadow as the-me-he-cannot-see. In an alchemical sense, art-making is The Work. This refers to the life work, development, purification, and integration. of The various aspects of The Self. Rautenbach uses art to divinity the Shadow. Art-making makes the Shadow visible. Engaging with material (art making) allows us to see the matter literally and figuratively. Symbols, narratives, and meanings of Material are as tangible to him as the actual material they are made of. He loves material that is either problematic or discarded. Material such as encyclopedias and compact discs, along with collected papers that hold sentimental or nostalgic attachments (greeting card, love letters, certificates), material which cannot be recycled, composted, and education documents. The often labor intensive craft type techniques (which he calls menditations) facilitate meditative sitting-with the matter, as in whatâs-the-matter?; witnessing. The result is quite calming, meditative, and uplifting.
