All the information a teacher of belly dance needs to teach a year’s worth of classes. You will also find all the information needed to create lesson plans for the future.
In this workshop I’m going to share with you 52 Lesson plans you can use for beginners or mixed ability classes for one year. If you’re new to teaching belly dancing, or have difficulty creating a lesson plan for each lesson, my goal is to assist you.
In the spirit “Teach a man to fish” – I will also be sharing with you the formula that I use to create lesson plans, so that you can go forward with lesson plans that better suit your students or your teaching style, lessons for more advanced students and lessons that suit your own dance philosophy.
You can use the workshop in one of two ways:
- You may be tempted to write your own lesson plan and make use of the templates. 52 Use the lessons learned to illustrate the formula.
- You may also want to teach the pre-Set lessons and use the formula to better understand the process. 52 lessons were developed.

Sara Shrapnell After spending 12 years performing, teaching and hosting events in the UK, she moved to San Francisco in 2011 to teach. Her classes are known for being funny, humorous, and able to explain cultural contexts. She adapts her lessons according to dancers’ needs and goals.
