Mike Robertson – Bulletproof Knees & Back Seminar 2011
Coaches and trainers everywhere are missing an opportunity.
This is a great opportunity to fulfill a real need and get better results for clients and athletes.
And in the long run, they’re losing money as a result.
- Are you You Ready to be the go?-Find a trainer near you for lower back and knee pain.
- Do you want to know why someone has lower back or knee pain?
- Do you want to learn how to program for them effectively?
- Would you like to know how to coach them, to ensure you don’t make their symptoms worse?
The Bulletproof Knees Lower Back The seminar is the culmination 8 of the previous 8.-My life for 10 years. This seminar covers a lot of information in 13+ hours.
This product isn’t geared towards athletic trainers or physical therapists, although even they may take a few things away from this.
This product and this lecture were written for personal trainers or strength coaches like me.
This was my goal. You deal with everyday people, because I’ve got news for you – no one is 100% healthy!
I hope so. And I KNOW that this product can help me get there.
First, let me share my story and show you how I got started on this path.
I completed a Masters in Sports Biomechanics after graduating. I then took the time to evaluate my abilities and weaknesses. I ranked them according to their importance on a scale from 1 to 10.-10.
I hadn’t spent much time working with injured athletes, and I remember giving myself a 2 out of 10.
Quite simply, an exercise science Undergraduate degree and a Masters in biomechanics hadn’t prepared to work with people who were in pain or suffering from injuries.
Just a few days ago, I accepted my first full-time job.-Time job and at 24 I felt like I had everything figured out. I was already a coach.-I was one of the Division 1 athletes, and I wanted to keep killing it.
It’s not so quick.
I found myself in a position where 90% of my work was with injured people. I was able to see people suffering from crippling lower back pain.
I have seen people with the worst knee pain that you can imagine.
I met one lady who couldn’t lift her shoulders.
As you can see, I was terrified!
My most memorable client was also my most challenging. Although you may have heard bits of it before, let me quickly recap.
When I first met Mark (no, that’s not his real name) he had been off of work for almost 3 years due to persistent and horrible back pain. His personal life was also affected by the pain.
His ex was going through a difficult divorce and he was distraught.-His wife was also playing games with his children.
Imagine being in this situation. It must’ve been horrible.
But the worst part was, this guy couldn’t do Anything. Before his back injury, the man made a decent living driving big rigs.
Now, he couldn’t hold down any kind of job because it hurt to do everything. He was able to stand, sit, drive a car, play with his kids, and so on.
It doesn’t matter what it is, it will hurt.
He was probably one of the most difficult backs I’ve ever seen and it took a ton of work to get him feeling better again.
In the following 6 months, he went from being extremely hurt to almost nothing.
He found another job and was granted partial custody of his kids (whom he could play with pain).-free!), and even found a new girlfriend that he was madly in love with.
I clearly remember the day he stopped coming in (he was driving 2 hours EACH WAY, 3x per week to work with us), and he said to me with tears in his eyes…
“Thank you for giving me my life back.”
That’s pretty powerful stuff.
And just like you, I’ve spent my time in the trenches. I’ve gotten up at 3:45 in the morning every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to work with a client. On these same days, I often didn’t get home until 7 or 8 in the evening.
Is it really 3:45 in morning?
I can recall thinking: “What is wrong with me? Do normal people do this?”
It was difficult not only physically, but also mentally. I was exhausted all the time and lived on triple venti non.-Starbucks has fat MochasNot only physically, but also emotionally. You don’t have the time or energy to spend time with your loved ones and friends because your entire schedule is focused around serving your clients.
Training was also affected. Training was the only thing that had remained constant over the past 5 years of mine. It was my freedom, my time for. “me.”
It was also losing me.
Do you find this to be true?
Do you spend too much time in the gym or taking care of clients? Not yourself?
Are you working too much to make too few dollars?
Would you prefer to spend more time with family and friends
Have you ever felt like you’re turning away clients because you don’t know how to help them?
Would you love to have MORE clients because you’re the go-Refer to a local trainer or coach for help with lower back pain or knee problems?
What would you do in a similar situation? What would you do? Would you quit and try again? Find a different job that wasn’t as challenging?
I decided to be my own boss. I read books and researched articles all night. I watched VHS tapes (yes, I’m starting to show my age!) from people in our field.
I went to seminars.
I tried my best to learn as much as I could about the human body.
Here’s where I can help you out, because I’m tired of talking about me. This is what this product is all about YOU.
Rather than reading all the research, attending all the seminars, purchasing all the DVD’s, manuals and webinars, why not pick up one all-All-encompassing resource that will allow you to access the majority of my knowledge?
If you are a fan of the Bulletproof Knees Back DVD’s and apply the concepts I outline with regards to knee and lower back pain, I can guarantee the following:
- You’ll understand the functional anatomy surrounding the knee and lower back; without this, you’re shooting from the hip and guessing as to what’s going on!
- You’ll be able to put your clients through a thorough and detailed assessment to determine Why? They are in pain. They are often experiencing pain in their backs and knees. Site Not the pain Source.
- You’ll be able to write a program that not only addresses their physical limitations over the long haul, but also allows you to make their training sessions pain-Free and productive in the interim.
- You’ll be able to coach your clients more effectively. It’s great to have quality programming but it is important that your clients are able execute your game plan.
I’m not telling you to overstep your bounds, either. There are always clients who go too far.-We are here to help. People with unusual or rare conditions that require us to call the big dogs.
In this series, I talk a lot about growing your network. This includes having a great massage therapist and a great physical therapy. So that you can all get along so that you can all work together for a great outcome for the people you serve.
You should be able take a client with mild lower back or knee pain, and get them moving so that they can reach their goals and live happier, more fulfilling lives.
That’s it.
You won’t be a physical therapist, chiropractor or athletic trainer when you’re done, but you’ll be a hell of a lot more competent when it comes to training your clients and athletes than ever before.
This confidence is enormous.
High reading levels are a huge part of my readers-level fitness enthusiasts. Although they may not be able to coach or train people for a living but they are passionate about learning and understanding how the body works.
Let me sum it up in one word: Absolutely.
While this product is geared towards trainers and coaches because they’re use these materials every single day, Anyone Anyone who regularly reads my blog and is interested in learning more about the lower back and knees will be benefited.
You would like to learn more about functional anatomy, program design and how to lift your body with flawless execution.
Do you want to know how you can keep your lower back and knees healthy and prevent injury?-free?
This product will definitely help you.
As a coach or trainer, I understand that you might be skeptical about my talk on knee and lower back pain. I’m not a physical therapist, athletic trainer, orthopedic surgeon or even a chiropractor.
How could I possibly know what I’m doing?
Since I started, I’ve made a name for myself within the industry. My knowledge in corrective exercise has helped Bill Hartman and I build one of America’s Top 10 Gyms (as ranked by Men’s Health magazine), for two years running.
We regularly have clients who drive from Louisville, Lexington and Chicago to meet us. Even distant clients have traveled from faraway countries to have an assessment, a program tailored for them and some training.
I’m paid pretty darn well to travel around and speak about these very topics. This presentation was given in Vancouver, and I’ve been to Australia two times now as well to help trainers just like yourself get better at improving their clients’ health.
And I’ve written for most of the major training magazines, both printed and on-line: Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Muscle and Fitness, T-Nation and Elite Fitness
Listen, I’m not here to tell you I’m perfect or that I know everything. That’s not the case. I’m always trying to learn more and improve myself as a trainer and coach.
But I’m pretty darn good at what I do, and I’m confident I can help you get better at what you do.
Mike Robertson’s course was the best training seminar I’ve been to! This course is a game changer! As someone who has bought thousands of dollars of training products including Mikes’ I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went to his seminar. All I knew was I was excited but didn’t know if he would honestly live up to the huge reputation he had acquired on the internet. My expectations were exceeded. It was not only a wonderful experience. Mike one of the best presenters I’ve seen but his content and knowledge was phenomenal!
How to coach lifted the attention to detail about posture for exercises made an enormous difference in how I view exercises and movement. I returned to training and found that it was easier for me and my clients. After years of training one client who was suffering from right hip pain, we were able stretch him out using techniques from Mike’s seminar and her pain has vanished.
This course was invaluable as a trainer and coach. It has completely changed my perception of training. I now understand force coupling in the human body. It was one of the best investments that I’ve ever made.

I just started following recently Mike’s training system due to a nagging back injury I had sustained 7 months earlier. The injury caused a significant physical and mental toll. I had to end all biographies.-I learned lateral lower body movements through my training. I realized I needed help and made the trek down to I.-FAST. I was given a thorough assessment upon arrival that assessed my posture and alignment, joint function, and muscle function. The results of the assessment clearly demonstrated that there was some work to be done, and less than a week later I began my first month’s worth of programming.
It’s been more than 4 months since then, and my body has seen some remarkable changes, even though I was only able to make it to I.-FAST for a couple weekends per month. Mike’s training system has improved my mobility, increased stability throughout my entire body, and has been cleaning up a few asymmetries I have. As a result, my back pain has been decreasing and I have been able slowly to increase my bi.-I have been incorporating lateral movements into my training. This week, I was able front squat 175lbs for 8 reps with zero back irritation. Not an impressive feat of strength by any means, but not bad for someone who didn’t know if he would ever be able to perform squats or deadlifts again.
These are the methods Mike His methods of working with clients are scientifically proven. His clients receive tangible results by using the program he has developed. He starts with an assessment. After all, we can’t forget that results are what training is all about. I have complete confidence in Mike’s training methods, and will continue utilizing them throughout the rest of my training career.”

Recently, I had the pleasure of seeing Mike Robertson I presented the Vancouver knee/back seminar and was very impressed with the quality of the information and coaching. Hands-on learning-This is from one of my favorite men-It was amazing to see models in the fitness business, and I came home with some great tips and techniques that I can share with my clients.
I learned a lot from that seminar and was able identify the root cause of my chronic pain. I have been trying to fix it for months. Exercise is something you and your clients should be seeking.-Low and knee based solutions-back pain, including how to assess for the possible causes of that pain, I am certain that you’ll find the information in the DVD of great value!

I was a former college basketball player and suffered from severe knee pain for 4 years. To ease the pain and to allow me to reach my full potential, I went to multiple doctors and chiropractors. Nobody could diagnose what was wrong with me or explain why I was in so much pain. I tried just plain rest, had multiple MRI’s done, tried acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments and cold laser therapy. The pain would ease a bit, but it would return a few weeks later.
I thought I was doomed for knee pain all my life. I was so relieved to finally go see my doctor. Mike Robertson. He knew what was wrong within the first fifteen minutes of my assessment. I had patella tendinosis, not tendinitis. My knee was not the problem, it was my hips. I had very poor hip mobility and left glute strength. He immediately put me on a program to address my issues. I was back playing in two weeks.-Day Basketball Tournament
He has been a great help over the years. I have never had knee pain and my deadlift and squat numbers have increased significantly. I highly recommend him. Mike Anyone who has suffered any kind of knee injury. My only regret is that I didn’t go to see him sooner.

The seminar has influenced the way I train people. I found the coaching cues invaluable. I have implemented the single leg, squat and deadlift progressions into all my clients’ programs. I found the seminar extremely helpful in my evaluation protocol and execution.
His presentation about anatomy was superb. Mike He examines the muscles of the lower body and core, and reveals that they play a crucial role in stabilizing the hips and core. His information is beyond what you’ll learn in anatomy classes at college.
I’ve also changed up a lot of my own training as a result of having Mike Assess me. I’ve started implementing box squats and rack deadlifts more into my programming. My ROM wasn’t quite where it needed to be for deadlifts, as a result I had numerous energy leaks. I’ve been working on my form so I can get back to deadlifting.
If you are looking to get better as a coach or make yourself a more efficient and safe weight lifter, then I’d strongly suggest this product.

I was an avid reader throughout my adolescence, young adulthood, and into my adulthood. “grind it out” Type of athlete “It hurts? who cares, grind it out. No pain no gain” That was my mantra in my inner monologue.
Needless to mention, I was rudely awakened when I turned 30. My knee was a mess. I was told that my knee was completely devoid of cartilage and that I could have a new knee in five years. He said that I should stop all sports, including powerlifting and rugby, that I was currently participating in.
After having arthroscopic surgery to remove some waste, I realized that I didn’t like surgery and being inactive. After one month of physical therapy, my knee felt better. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had read quite a bit. Mike Robertson’s articles on indestructible knees and decided that I needed some of those!
My first visit was January 2009. The thorough assessment of movement, strength, and flexibility was amazing. The most important thing about the assessment was the fact that it gave me hope.

For the first time, I didn’t feel like a lost cause. It was just that I needed to do a lot more work. Mike Created a training plan that addressed my weaknesses and caused me knee pain. I’m not going to lie; it was hard unglamorous work at first. It was worth it as my knees became stable and pain-free. My programs gradually incorporated the major powerlifting movements and accessory work to continue addressing my weaknesses.
Recently, I went to IFAST for a single-Follow up assessment for the year. My strength and quality of movement compared to my first visit was shocking, but it didn’t stop there. He could do more to help. He continues to offer highly customized programs that helped me reach my goals. Investing in Mike’s quality programming and knowledge is far and above the best decision I ever made towards my health.
I don’t consider myself a finished product yet, but Mike It clearly shows me the path that will get me there.

I’m a fitness professional/strength coach in the Seattle are and a former professional basketball player. I’ve dedicated pretty much my whole life to sports, fitness and performance.
I travel a lot to various seminars, workshops, conferences and other events around the country and world related to fitness, performance, and anything else that will make me a better teacher, better informed, and help my clients achieve better results.
When I heard Mike Robertson would be having a seminar a couple of hours from me relating to rehabbing the knee and low back, I didn’t think twice about going as I knew he was an incredibly knowledgeable strength coach who also walks the walk. It also made sense as I was dealing with an adductor and low back issue for the better part of 7 months, something neither physical therapists, doctors, massage therapists and number of other professionals couldn’t figure out.
I was expecting the content to be really good. Mike always delivers. But it wasn’t real good. But it was much better than that. It changed my perception of training, programs, rehabilitation, and training for others. It was a great seminar that combined theory with practical examples and broke it down into digestible segments. It was the hands-on experience that made it so worthwhile. We spent hours evaluating ourselves and each other. Mike’s guidance.
I believed I was pretty good at what I do. It was a great learning experience, and I came away feeling much more confident. It was a relief to know that I now have many more tools at my disposal to help people I train to improve their fitness and performance, and to make them feel and move better.
If you’re a fitness professional or are anywhere close to the fitness or performance field, you’d be nuts not to attend a Mike Robertson seminar!
You can see how impressed I was by them. Mike, I also hired him to do design my training program for the next 3 months (and I’ve only let a handful of people in the world do that). Six weeks into the program, I have seen a 75% reduction in my adductor pain and low back problems. This is something that doctors, physical therapists, and others can’t do. couldn’t do in 7 months!”

When I began my journey with MikeYears of overuse and nagging injuries had left me feeling beaten up. He was able help me correct my imbalances and get rid of the pain so that I could train at a better level. Mike I was his Frankenstein, so he constantly thought up new protocols to keep me motivated and challenged. He has the knowledge and experience to adapt to anyone’s unique set of circumstances and goals. Mike is someone I will use for the rest of my career and can’t recommend highly enough. In my line of work I can’t afford to settle for second best.

18 months after surgery-Moved-Bad for patellar tendonitis. I thought I might never be able to play beach volleyball again. I was especially concerned after having consult with six orthopedic surgeons, all who wanted to perform more surgery. I was able to stumble upon it. Mike’s websight while searching online for an alternative treatment to surgery, and I’m sure glad I did.
Lucky me, I had an Indianapolis business meeting so I booked an evaluation. Mike. During the evaluation it was evident that this guy knew a lot about human anatomy and how it should move. Mike didn’t just focus on my knee, he evaluated at my entire body structure and movement.
The program was easy to use from the beginning. Mike I was impressed with the way it was developed. Perhaps it was the way he explained each exercise to me, or perhaps it was that each exercise made sense to me. Instead of just treating the symptoms, his program addressed my body’s weaknesses that were actually causing my problems.
Since the beginning, 3 months ago Mike’s program, the strength in my left leg has improved so much that I know I will be playing at my old level soon. My knee is becoming more stable as my hip, leg, and core become stronger. Actually, my goals have changed from being just to get better, to actually being more than I was before the surgery.
Many thanks Mike!

I suffered from IT band syndrome while undergoing Special Operations selection in military. It was so severe that my knee would lock up completely on longer runs. I had no choice but to swing my leg around instead of bend it.
This horrible compensatory pattern, combined with almost four years of operational deployments as a Special Warfare Combatant Crewman on open ocean jet boats which produce repeated impacts of up to 20 G’s, left me with chronic back pain, a mess of fascial adhesions and a knee that didn’t take kindly to running.
I was in my process of learning in the field strength and conditioning. Because of the nature of my job, I have always had a keen interest training with an injury prevention or corrective nature. Finally, I reached out to the man I had learned most of this from and asked if he would be willing to help me program and assess a client who was extremely difficult.
Half a year later, I had gained 90 pounds to my deadlift (pulling 505 at 185 lbs bodyweight), was able to run ten miles without any pain and no back pain.
I’ve since left the military and started my own fitness business and have been quite fortunate to call Mike He is a mentor in the industry. His materials are required reading for every trainer at my facilities and I’ve learned more from him than anyone else in the strength training world.
