The Dave Elman Hypnosis The Institute was resurrected in honor of DAVE ELMAN, who demonstrated in 1949 his quick induction techniques and knowledge of pain management to doctors. In response, he was invited to give a course in hypnosis for dentists and doctors. His students were often able to research further medical applications and report these back to him. Larry graduated from his father, DAVE ELMAN’s COURSE IN MEDICAL HYPNOSIS three times, and of a brief career as a stage hypnotist while in high school and college. He went on to an engineering career at MIT, in the Air Force, and in the Defense Industry, retiring eventually as a Colonel with the USAF. For many years, Larry has answered inquiries about his father’s life, careers and the Dave Elman Course in Medical Hypnosis. He is now a writer and lecturer on a variety of subjects. Since 2009, he has been a presenter at the National Guild of Hypnotists Annual Convention. Dave Elman’s methods. He has also spoken at ACHE/IAC, IHF, ACHE/IMDHA/IAC, Virginia Annual Conference and in England and Singapore.
