Leo Babauta – Unprocrastinate Interviews
Iām excited to share with you, my interview with Leo Babauta on his new book,Ā The Little Guide to Un-Procrastination.Ā Iāve read the book and found it to be just what I needed.
I would say if you need a boost itās like a kick in the pants but since joining the A-Join the Blogger Club to get to know others Leo better, Iād say Leoās new book is more like a gentle breeze on a summer day.
Letās get started!
1. Can you please introduce yourself for readers who donāt know you?
Leo: Sure! Iām Leo BabautaAuthor of ZenHabits.net, mnmlist.com and several books on simplicity. My blog has over 200K visitors. I live a simple lifestyle with Eva and my six children.
2. What can readers gain from your Unpublished book?-Procrastination? Let us know about it.
Leo: I share a simple method that has helped me to (mostly) overcome a problem that we all struggle with ā procrastination. Let me also discuss the major problems that prevent people from conquering this problem and strategies to beat them.
3. Who inspires and why?
Leo: Oh my. Iām inspired by so much. Amazing people doing amazing things. People with innovative ideas. People who challenge old ideas. People overcoming great challenges. People who help each other. Beautiful writing, art, and music. Nature and simplicity. My wife, my mother, my grandmother, sisters, and children.
4. Which books are currently in your reading list?
Leo: I mostly read novels ā I get enough non-Fiction online. Right now Iām reading a tattered old copy of āThe World to Comeā Dara Horn
5. Are you able to share your favourite blogs, even if they aren’t related to work? You are an online entrepreneur.
Leo: I love Seth Godin and 37Signals. Jonathan Fields, Chris Guillebeau, Derek Sivers.
6. Please share with us a valuable lesson that you have learned from children.Ā
Leo: Humility. Perspective. Enthusiasm for life.
7. How has uncopywriting your content contributed to your sales?
Leo: Uncopyright is a way to remove a traditional barrier that prevents people from sharing their ideas. When this barrier is removed, people are much more likely to share my work with others, and thus my work spreads much more rapidly if itās any good. Spreading my work to people whoāve never heard of me is the best kind of advertising there is.
8. What is the best way to use Twitter?
Leo: Minimally. I usually tweet just once or twice a day, if that, and only if I have something worth saying or sharing ā something interesting, useful, funny, valuable. I donāt stay connected ā a couple times a day, I read replies and then get out.
9. Is there a time you know when you should stop working?
Leo: At one time I did, but my workday has become much more flexible. I work in short bursts when I’m excited, and I take breaks between. When I feel Iāve worked enough and want to spend time with my beautiful wife or amazing kids, I stop working.
The Little Guide to Un-ProcrastinationĀ is a small investment for great advice and insight from one of the most admired entrepreneurs online.
