Drew Day is Base Camp’s president and founder. He has been involved in portfolio management and systematic trading for over 16 years. He was primarily interested in trading the global futures market, using a systemic, low leveraged, and highly diversified trading method. As a Commodity Trader Trading Advisor (CTA), he traded 40 futures market options across eight sectors. Drew was featured speaker at Bloomberg Markets New York and London, and is listed as an industry expert in the book. “A Visual Guide to Hedge Funds” Published by Bloomberg Wiley. He is also an active participant in proprietary trading. His own firm, which focuses on quantitative and behavioral trading systems, has been established by Bloomberg Wiley.
Brian Strong
Head of Development and Vice President
Brian Strong is the Head of Development and VP at Base Camp Trading. Brian has had a varied 20-year career in software engineering, working on projects that range from mobile gaming to software for hedge funds. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Biological Sciences. Brian is also involved in proprietary trading and developing and coding machine-learning, behavioral, and quantitative trading systems.
Dave Aquino
Portfolio Manager and Pro Trader
Dave Aquino, a professional trader, has over 20+ years experience in real estate.-As a trader or portfolio manager, he has gained real-world experience. He began his career at Merrill Lynch, and later moved to Vanguard Asset Management, where he managed assets in excess of $650 million. His focus was on options income strategies. He graduated from Vanderbilt University. Dave is a partner at Base Camp Trading She specializes in helping clients learn how to trade options for their income. Dave is also very involved in proprietary trading.
Thomas Wood
Hedge Fund Manager and Pro Trader
Thomas Wood is a trader who has over 12+ years experience in the markets. He also manages hedge funds professionally. Thomas started his career in wealth management, then set up a hedge funds at 26. After that, he settled down as a MicroQuant head trader. Thomas is a partner in Base Camp Trading Tradesmanship and understanding the global market is what he specializes in.-The most well-known price action trading strategies. Thomas also designs quantitative, behavioral and machine-learning-based trading systems.

John Osborn
Trading Analyst and Instructor
John Osborn has many hats at Base Camp Trading. You will see him in the trading rooms as a trading analyst, instructor and trader. John also creates trading indicators, strategies, and documentation that help clients and members of the BCT find trading opportunities that align with our trading strategies. John is a trader and software engineer with more than 20 years of experience in trading. His background includes designing human machine interfaces to submarine systems for the Department of Defense and managing projects at a large pharmaceutical company. John was also an instructor in computer science at a college.

Minh Le is our Head of Client Service. She will assist with all your technical and support needs. Minh is passionate about helping clients with any issue that may arise. Minh has a background in technical programming and can help you with questions about products or services. Minh was a Wake Technical Community College student in programming.

Jeff Joostema belongs to Base Camp Trading This is 100% focused to help new members understand the many features and trading strategies taught at Base Camp Trading. Jeff played football and wrestled for the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business. Prior to Base Camp TradingJeff has had a successful entrepreneurial career. Jeff is a Base Camp member Trading Trades options and futures for a long time.
