The course introduces you to thinking tools and techniques that have been proven to improve creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities. You will come across material and assessments as you go through the course that will help you to retain these concepts. The first module is comprised of 8 lessons.
1: Are your thoughts a thought? Take a look at the students themselves-Image as a thinker, and at thinking skills in general. The stage is set for your journey. Effective Thinking.
2: PMI – Plus, Minus, And Interesting Analysis of the Plus, Minus, and Interesting points. This tool is powerful for generating new ideas.
3: AGO-Aims Goals and Objectives Examining Aims, Objectives, and Goals. Clarify your thinking with an AGO.
4: Take into account all Factors It is a structured approach to the Consideration of All Factors. It is commonly used to evaluate situations and develop ideas.
5: OPV – Other People’s Views The OPV tries, in a way that is not obvious to others, to get the thinker into the heads of the people involved in any activity.
6: FIP – First Important Priorities The FIP gives you or others a clear instruction to direct your attention on priorities (in general, or at a specific moment).
7: APC Alternatives. Possibilities and Options APC means to look for Alternatives, Possibilities, or Choices in any given situation.
8: C&S = Consequence and Sequel This is a time scan for your brain. This will help you to focus on the possible consequences of a decision, course or action change over time.
The participant will use the tools from the previous module to explore the various types of thinking situations and how to proactively respond. Understanding the problem you are facing will help you develop the thinking skills necessary to solve it.
1: Action and planning Thinking Planning is essential for both arriving at a decision and executing it. Planning is often an important part of getting things done.
2: Decision making and evaluation Judging the worth of an option. This is worth the effort. Making decisions and making choices.
3: Problem-Designing and solving problems Problem solving and problem design are two different things. Every design task is, in some sense, a problem.-Problem solving
4: Organising and managing your time Dealing with chaos and confusion. The ability to make order out of chaos. Organization of different elements to make the whole work – this is a common real life scenario.
5: Conflict negotiation and negotiation In situations where there are two parties, each side tries to get their way, it is common for both sides. This lesson will teach you how to turn conflict and arguments into wins-Win outcomes
6: Communication and persuasion Information transfer. The transfer of perceptions. Clarity in communication Persuasion is about opening up perceptions.
7: Exploration and discussion A map of the situation. As much information as you can. Discussing a situation in order to understand it better.
8: Chance and initiative Our thinking tends to be reactive. We are often forced to think about something. This Section examines initiatives. We set out to think deeply about something because it is important to us.
Your creativity and lateral thinking will be your main focus. It is essential to think outside the box when solving problems. It is important to be able recognize situations that require extra creativity and think in a focused, effective manner that produces results. The Creativity & Lateral Thinking Module 8 consists of these 8 lessons.
1: The need to think lateral Understanding the need to improve our thinking. Application of thinking to other areas.
2: Basic level creativity Concepts and explorations can be the cure for arrogance. The mechanics of finding new routes.
3: Judgement, movement What is the difference between perception and processing? Patterning systems and the concept of an idiom. Humour, logic, and lateral thinking.
4: Escape Get out of your current way of thinking.
5: The Stepping Stone You can learn to take each step and look for the path forward. Every creative journey begins with a step.
6: Random juxtaposition This technique will allow you to unleash the power of your mind whenever you need it.
7: The treatment and interpretation of ideas Constrained shaping, harvesting, and using ideas.
8 : Focus How to determine the creative thrust. For the creation of creative thinking, it is important to create idea sensitive areas.
