Perfectionism can be defined as a tendency to set standards that are unreasonably high, and to measure an individual’s worth in terms of their ability to meet these standards. These standards are usually applied to oneself. Perfectionism is sometimes associated with anxiety or related disorders, and therefore resolving a client’s anxiety may result in a decrease in more debilitating manifestations of perfectionism.

In this six-session series, Dr. Antony She works with a young lady who is finishing a master’s degree in psychology. She is a dedicated volunteer. for Perfect in many areas, including her school work. She is extremely focused on organizing, planning and succeeding in everything she does. She also suffers from occasional panic attacks, as well as issues regarding her body image. Dr. Antony It helps her to overcome fears of not meeting her goals and learn to cope with stress rather than succumb to her drive for perfection.
