How 3 minutes of deep meditation changed my life for the better
I’d like to share some information with Your kindness and generosity have had a profound impact on my life. Here is Paul Scheele’s story.
I was a nervous and twitchy little kid. with Internal stress can cause a lot of anxiety.
So…when I was 18 years-old, I attended a special presentation on meditation at the University of Minnesota Sanskrit Scholar and one of the most prominent Sanskrit scholars, the teacher. the Few are in the world that can read ancient languages. He was a Brahman, or priest from India, who lived in Minneapolis. with His family. I had previously studied Hatha Yoga and I wanted meditation to calm me down and bring me deep peace.
He asked us to do a simple meditation and how long it took. the meditation had lasted. I can confirm that I was sitting up and paying attention to every detail. Although it felt like it was only 10 minutes, he claimed that it was 40. I was in a state of total bliss that lasted the entire time. I was sold. I instantly said, “Sign me up!” And began to study meditation.

My practice ceased after eight years. My life was different with I have a wife and kids and felt that I didn’t really have time for them all. the disciplines. I did occasionally return to meditation from time to time, especially when I was feeling stressed. But, mostly, I drifted away.
Then I flew to India.
My journey continued, and I was eventually in Rishikesh, India a few decades ago, listening to Swami Veda (32 years prior). He told me that it was there. Once you have been initiated into this tradition, none of your success in life can be attributed directly to you. It’s always there the Lineage that has been there for you since your inception.
That hit me hard—it humbled me immediately
