The Dollar Vigilante TDV (Total Deviation of Value) is a joint-Two respected entrepreneurs founded venture publication-Market speakers and analysts from the financial sector Jeff Berwick Ed Bugos. Both Jeff Ed They consider themselves financial freedom fighters. In the past, they have written extensively about the impending collapse and continued existence of the US dollar-based financial system. TDV was created by the two of them as a community and publication for survivors of the dollar crash.

Anarcho-Capitalist.  Libertarian.  Freedom fighter against mankind’s two biggest enemies, the State and the Central Banks.  Jeff Berwick is the founder and CEO of The Dollar Vigilante and host of the popular video podcast, Anarchast.  Jeff is a prominent speaker at many of the world’s freedom, investment and cryptocurrency conferences including his own, Anarchapulco, as well as regularly in the media including CNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business.  Jeff also posts exclusive content daily to the new blockchain based social media network, Steemit.

Jeff’s background in the financial markets dates back to his founding of Canada’s largest financial website, Stockhouse.com, in 1994. In the late ‘90s the company expanded worldwide into 8 different countries and had 250 employees and a market capitalization of $240 million USD at the peak of the “tech bubble”.  Stockhouse.com is used by more than 1,000,000 investors every month to provide investment information.

Jeff From 1994 to 2002, Berwick was the company’s CEO.  After that Berwick moved on to travel the world in his sailboat, but he lost his boat in a storm off El Salvador.  He was left with only a pair of surf shorts and his surfboard, and he decided to save his life. “live nowhere” Travel the world as spontaneously and consciously as possible, with one goal in mind: To see and understand the world through his eyes and not through the lenses of the media.

Over five years, he visited nearly 100 countries and saw and did things no education could.   He spoke and met a lot of incredible people, including selfless volunteers.-Billionaires were made to some of the best minds in finance.  He also read everything he could find on how the world really works… politically and financially.  This is a pursuit he continues to pursue.

Ed Bugos

Mr. Bugos Is the Senior Analyst at The Dollar Vigilante.  He is an Austrian economist, and has been an investment professional since 1989.

Ed His distinguished career began as a stockbroker at Vancouver’s top brokerage firms on Howe Street. He mentored under one of the best exploration and spec stock analysts on the west coast who made his mark covering the discovery of diamond mines in the NWT during the nineties (when skepticism about their existence there still abound). Ed made money for his clients financing diamond, nickel, and gold exploration companies throughout his brokerage career, as well as trading futures and options.

He was one of the only gold and oil futures traders in Vancouver (at the height of the “cult of equity”) in 1999; he left the brokerage industry early in 2000 warning his clients that the tech bubble and “strong dollar” would burst -leading to a secular bull market in gold, eventually leading to a repeat of the 1970’s style stagflation in the decades ahead. As part of the first genres of the investing counter culture that went online in the early days of the internet, Mr. Bugos launched The Goldenbar Report, He created a subscription-based currency and gold digest. In it, he predicted that gold will reach $2000 by 2013. That the US dollar would be half the value and that US equity market would have their best years for the next decade. As a stockbroker, it was impossible for him to tell the same story. In subsequent years, through to 2006, Ed Made many great calls that resulted in an un-leveraged broad based asset allocation returning over 20% per annum without a down year.

At the end of 2006 he foresaw another crisis coming but was no longer optimistic about gold shares, which he thought were expensive at the time. He was just about to have his first child, so he took a year off to sabbatical.

When the Goldenbar Report was being closed in September 2006, his last recommendation was that clients allocate up to 45 percent to a short position against equity averages. This is mainly the financial sector. “XLF” – 40-40% to a long bullion physical or GLD position; and Residue core position (<15%) in gold equities.

In 2007, seeing the crisis around the corner, Mr. Bugos joined Agora Financial to compile a portfolio of gold stocks for investors to buy during the meltdown. The The service was launched in March 2008. It lasted until the first months of 2009. He was able recommend stocks such as Kirkland Gold, First Majestic Silver and Guyana Goldfields for less than $3… which all went on to skyrocket in the 2009-11 bull markets

Altogether his portfolio returned an average 275% from the trough in 2008-From their peak in 2011, they reached 248%, a remarkable performance that outperformed the HUI or other gold share indexes during this time.

Mr. Bugos He is also an investment banker, and has assisted exploration companies in raising millions of dollars. He saw the worst was yet to come in 2010, and he decided to take action. Rafael LaVerde has experience in venture capital, private equity, and venture capital. He was volunteering as a volunteer for Ron Paul’s presidential election campaign when he came across Bitcoin.
