Branch goes through in preparing himself for the 2009 Olympia – the event where he recently finished second in the world to Jay Cutler. The workouts are held at Metroflex Gym, Arlington, Texas. This gym has been named America’s top hardcore gym and is home to Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman 8 times. Brian Dobson is the Metroflex Gym’s owner and trainer. Branch Warren.

After not participating in the Olympia in 2008 and 2007, Warren Reignited shock in the bodybuilding community by finishing second at the 2009 Olympia, one spot better than 2008 Olympia winner Dexter Jackson. Jay was not in any way disrespected. Branch’s fans felt that he could well have been the 2009 Mr. Olympia winner.
