Jonathan Rose started his career at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in 1998. Jonathan Rose was a pioneer in computer-based trading and helped to provide liquidity for the Globex market’s young participants. After five years of trading Nasdaq Futures, he was hired to join a fixed income trading firm that focuses on technology.

Jonathan was one the four Senior Partners of a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm from 2003 to 2010. As the 6th employee, he was promoted to Director of Futures. Trading where he was responsible to all proprietary trading operations. Jonathan was directly responsible for managing a large number of traders (15+), and also overseeing the performance and profitability of the trading floor (60+). Jonathan trained over 30 traders in every aspect of Fixed Income trading.

Jonathan was an Equity Options market maker at the CBOE between 2010 and 2013. He managed his own portfolio and traded over 100 stocks simultaneously.

Jonathan joined a private Family Office, or Hedge Fund, in the Chicago suburbs. Jonathan has worked with the firm’s investment team designing and implementing a pair trading investment strategy that focuses on Closed End Funds. He supports and promotes other strategies within the company, with a particular focus on business development. Jonathan graduated from University of Miami with a B.S. in 1997. He is a 2015 Level 2-CFA Candidate.

Jonathan completed the Madison Ironman in 2011. He also ran 4 marathons in the last four years. His free time is spent with his lovely wife, his two sons and his guitar.
