JONATHAN ROOSE
Jonathan Rose started his career in 1998 on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange floor. Jonathan Rose was a pioneer in computer-based trading and was instrumental in providing liquidity for the Globex market’s young traders. After five years of trading Nasdaq Futures, he was hired to join a fixed income trading firm that focuses on technology.
Jonathan was one the four Senior Partners of a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm from 2003 to 2010. As the 6th employee, he rose to the rank of Director of Futures Trading. He was responsible for all aspects of proprietary trading operations. Jonathan managed and built a large trading team (15+) and was responsible to oversee the performance of the trading floor (60+). Jonathan trained more than 30 traders in Fixed Income trading.
Jonathan was an Equity Options market maker at the CBOE between 2010 and 2013. He created and managed his portfolio, actively trading over 100 stocks simultaneously.
Jonathan joined a private Family Office in Chicago (Hedge Fund), in 2014. Jonathan has worked with the firm’s investment team designing and implementing a pair trading investment strategy that focuses on Closed End Funds. He is also a promoter and supporter of other strategies within our firm with a focus in business development. Jonathan received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in 1997. He is a 2015 Level 2-CFA Candidate.
Jonathan completed the Madison Ironman in 2011. He also ran 4 marathons in the last four years. His free time is spent with his lovely wife, his two sons and his guitar.
