Ms. Dixon began her Wall Street career at Hayden Stone in 1970. Later, the firm became Shearson-Lehman Brothers and she was promoted to Managing Director. She is a money manager (CTA) and futures trading. She was responsible for managing several commodity funds and gave lectures about futures markets in the US, London, and Tokyo. She also wrote weekly market letters for Shearson Lehman clients. After a short period at Smith Barney, Mrs. Dixon quit Lehman in 1992. Mrs. Dixon served on the National Association of Futures Board of Directors. Trading Advisors, the Board of Directors of New York Futures Exchange, FINEX Board of Directors, and a trustee of Futures Industry Institute. Before she was drawn to urban planning, Mrs. Dixon studied history at Vassar College. to trading. She has been a Vice Chairman of New Yorkers for Parks since leaving Wall Street. This advocacy/research group promotes the importation of well-maintained, well-programmed parks for New York City. Mrs. Dixon resides in Manhattan and Stonington on a 260-acre farm called Manatuck.
