Drew Day is the founder of Base Camp Trading and its president. Drew is an international speaker and 16-year-old.-An experienced hedge fund veteran of over six decades, he has worked with several hedge funds that have managed assets in excess of $6.5 billion. Since 1996, he has been involved in systematic trading and portfolio management. He was primarily interested in trading global futures markets. He used a low-leverage, systematic and highly diversified trading strategy. He was a Commodity Trading Advisor, (CTA) and traded 40 futures markets in eight different sectors. Drew was a featured speaker at Bloomberg Markets New York in London and New York, and is featured in the book as an industry expert. “A Visual Guide to Hedge Funds” Published by Bloomberg Wiley. He is also an active participant in proprietary trading. His own firm, which focuses on quantitative and behavioral trading systems, has been established by Bloomberg Wiley.
Brian Strong
Head of Development and Vice President
Base Camp Trading’s Head of Development and VP is Brian Strong. Brian has had a varied 20-year career in software engineering, working on projects that range from mobile gaming to software for hedge funds. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Biological Sciences. Brian is also heavily involved with proprietary trading. He develops and codes quantitative, behavioral, as well as machine learning trading systems.
Dave Aquino
Pro Trader and Portfolio manager
Dave Aquino is a professional trader who has over 20 years of experience in the real world.-World experience as a portfolio manager and trader. He started his career with Merrill Lynch. Later, he became a portfolio manager for Vanguard Asset Management. He graduated from Vanderbilt University. Dave is a Partner at Base Camp Trading. His expertise lies in helping clients understand their trading options to maximize income. Dave is also heavily involved in proprietary trading.
Thomas Wood
Pro Hedge Fund Manager, Trader
Thomas Wood, a professional trader, has more than 12+ years of trading experience. He is also a manager for a hedge fund. At 26 years old, he started his career in wealth management. He then created a hedge fund and later settled at MicroQuant as a chief trader. Thomas is a Partner at Base Camp Trading. His specialty is helping traders simplify the markets through understanding its world.-The most well-known price action trading strategies. Thomas also creates machine learning-based, quantitative, and behavioral trading systems.

John Osborn
Trade Analyst and Instructor
Base Camp Trading’s John Osborn has many hats. You will see him in the trading rooms as a trading analyst, instructor and trader. John also creates trading indicators, strategies, and documentation that help clients and members of the BCT find trading opportunities that align with our trading strategies. John is a trader and software engineer with more than 20 years of experience in trading. His background includes designing human machine interfaces to submarine systems for the Department of Defense and managing projects at a large pharmaceutical company. John was also an instructor in computer science at a college.

Minh Le is our Head of Client Service. She will assist with all your technical and support needs. Minh loves to help clients with all issues. Minh is a technical programmer and can help with your questions regarding products and services. Minh graduated from Wake Technical Community College in programming.

Jeff Joostema, a Base Camp Trading member, is 100% dedicated to helping new members understand the many features and trading strategies that Base Camp Trading teaches. Jeff played football and wrestled for the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business.
