Drew is an international speaker and 16-year-old.-An experienced hedge fund veteran of over six decades, he has worked with several hedge funds that have managed assets in excess of $6.5 billion. Since 1996, he has been involved in systematic trading and portfolio management. He focused his trading efforts on the global futures markets. He followed a low-leverage, systematic, and highly diversified trading strategy. He was a Commodity Trading Advisor, (CTA) and traded 40 futures markets in eight different sectors.  Drew has been featured speaker at Bloomberg Markets New York and London, and is listed as an industry expert in the book. “A Visual Guide to Hedge Funds” Published by Bloomberg Wiley.  He is also an active participant in proprietary trading. Brian Strong

Vice President and Head for Development Simple Setups

Base Camp Trading’s VP and Head Development is Brian Strong.  Brian has had a varied 20-year career in software engineering, working on projects that range from mobile gaming to software for hedge funds. Dave Aquino

Portfolio Manager and Pro Trader

Dave Aquino, a professional trader, has over 20 years experience in real estate.-As a trader or portfolio manager, he has gained real-world experience. He began his career with Merrill Lynch. Later, he became a portfolio manager for Vanguard Asset Management. He graduated from Vanderbilt University.  Dave is a partner in Base Camp Trading. He specializes helping clients to understand the options available for earning income through trading. Thomas Wood

Hedge Fund Manager and Pro Trader

Thomas Wood, a professional trader, has more than 12 years of experience trading the market. This includes both as a manager for hedge funds and personally. At 26 years old, he started his career in wealth management. He then created a hedge fund and later settled at MicroQuant as a chief trader. Thomas is a Partner at Base Camp Trading. His specialty is helping traders simplify the markets through understanding its world.-Famous price action trading strategies. Thomas also creates machine learning-based, quantitative, and behavioral trading systems. Simple Setups

John Osborn

Trade Analyst and Instructor

Base Camp Trading has many hats for John Osborn. John Osborn is both a trading analyst as well as an instructor. You’ll find him in the trading areas from time to time. John also creates trading strategies, documentation, and indicators to assist clients and members of the BCT in finding trading opportunities that align with our trading strategies. John is a trader and software engineer with more than 20 years of experience in trading. His background includes designing human machine interfaces to submarine systems for the Department of Defense and managing projects at a large pharmaceutical company. John is also a college computer science instructor.

Support

Minh Le is our Head of Client Service. Jeff Joostema

Member Relations

Jeff Joostema, a Base Camp Trading member, is 100% dedicated to helping new members understand the many features and trading strategies that Base Camp Trading teaches. Jeff played football and wrestled for the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business.  Jeff was an entrepreneur who had a long and successful career before Base Camp Trading. Jeff is a long-standing member of Base Camp Trading and trades options and futures.
