Betsy Shandalov, OTRL, C–IAYT
Betsy Shandalov, OTR/L, C–IAYT, has been an Occupational Therapist since 1992. Boston University awarded her a Bachelor of Science in Occupational therapy. She worked as an adult-acute care nurse at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC. Ms. Shandalov also has worked in rehabilitation and community re–entry at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA as a clinician, educator and supervisor.
Ms. Shandalov presented on a variety of topics at the collegiate level to The country has many occupational therapy students, both graduate and undergraduate. She moved to California, where she received her 200-hour. The focus of the training was on Iyengar Yoga for adult yoga teachers. Ms. Shandalov received her certification as an instructor and trainer in yoga for kids with Yoga Kids International. She now teaches Therapeutic Yoga to Adults and children in a variety health care settings. Privately, she treats patients using yoga as her main therapeutic modeality. She speaks at Wellness Events and promotes the use of yoga to heal an injury or prevent it from happening again.
In her practice, Ms. Shandalov draws from yoga’s ancient philosophy of incorporating body, mind and spirit. She has seen children and adults with all kinds of diagnoses. Some are very sick, others are chronically ill. Others have long-term injuries or disabilities. Ms. Shandalov brings together her western medicine knowledge with an integrative approach to medicine. Ralph Dehner, COTA, CPT
Ralph Dehner, COTA, CPT, after 17 years as the director and program coordinator of the Mighty Vine Wellness Club, a nonprofit wellness center serving the mental health community, has stepped into a consultant’s role. His clinical experience includes rehabilitation and injury prevention using behavior modification, exercise and work simplification. Mr. Dehner started studying internal martial arts in the early 1970s and is a certified Master Trainer for Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for health programs in the USA. He is also certified to teach Tai Chi. RehabilitationTai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention and Tai Chi to Treat Diabetes
He has been a Qi Gong and Tai Chi instructor in many hospitals, nursing homes, senior centers and integrative medicine centers. He has also presented at numerous conferences such as the National Autism Conference and Ehlers.-Danlos Syndrome Conference (Seoul) and Inaugural International Tai Chi for Health Conference. Korea).
Dehner is also a skilled program developer. He has presented and produced training courses on topics such as fall prevention, Tai Chi to OTs, and integrative mental health. Union Institute and University awarded him his BS in holistic study with a specialization in wellness management. Mr. Dehner is a Member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), American Council on Exercise, International Association of Reiki and Tai Chi for Health Community of America.

Ross LaBossiereLicensed physical therapist assistant, licensed masse therapist and certified yoga instructor/therapist, with more than 35 years of clinical and non-clinical experience.-Clinical settings. He is also the owner/operator at Lifewaves Integrated Therapy (est.1982) in Rhode Island, a private clinic that offers Mindfulness.-Maintenance and Support of Body Health Rehabilitation. Ross The University of Rhode Island awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Health/Adapted Physical Education. It also offered all courses in the Graduate Program for Exercise Science with a focus on Musculoskeletal Sciences.-Skeletal Physiology/Rehabilitation.
His 35 years of clinical experience includes various classes and workshops. In addition, he was an independent contractor with BCBSRI/Health and Wellness Institute for over a decade, where he provided his mindfulness.-Integrated yoga programs for stress management, relaxation and stress management to corporate/worksite settings.
