My boss gave me very little time to work so I was constantly miserable at subway.

She only wanted me to be there during the two busiest times of the day, lunch rush and dinner rush.

Also, I would have to clean the whole store in 30 minutes. Or I would be fired.

I am working alone at the subway store one day, when a customer leapt out of her poorly-parked car and ran fast towards me to get into the restaurant.

At first, I thought she was going to rob the shop but she ran straight past me running for the restroom.

In just 1.2 seconds, I heard some of the most powerful sounds you could hear coming out of a bathroom.

She then runs to the bathroom, jumps in her car and speeds off as fast she can.

After she left, I took a peek into the restroom and I instantly dropped my jaw and said…

SHE RELATED TO HERSELF EVERYWHERE!

I said, “OH MY GOD! Who is going to clean all this up?”

Even though it’s past lunch rush and I am all alone in the shop, I refuse not to clean up the mess of that person!

I immediately called my manager to tell her it’s an emergency and to get here fast. 10 minutes later, she arrives and I tell my manager exactly what happened. Guess what?

“You have to clean that up because this happened on your shift! Here’s some gloves, a towel, and a mop bucket, get to work.”

I COMPLETELY FORGOT IT! I RAN OFF ON MY MANAGER

I shouted at her with all my might and said,

“I barely get any working hours, I make minimum wage, I’m always threatened to get fired and you EXPECT me to clean up someone’s CHOCOLATE SAUCE???”

Let me clarify that I didn’t mention chocolate sauce. But you get the idea!

She looked at my face and said, “do it, or your fired”. I said, “I must be fired then”She replied, “then you are”.

It was the best and worst day of my entire life.

It was that day that I realized I could not accept less of my life. I will always end up dealing with someone else’s “crap” I will be here for the rest my life!

If you’ve never faced a situation like this, it doesn’t mean you should settle for less.

You can fool others into believing you are happy, but you cannot fool yourself. Please take my advice, don’t put off any of your goals and dreams any longer.

I put off my dreams for 3 LONG YEARS and still regret it to this day.

It is this thing called “The End of My Dreams” that has caused me to be so upset, I had to stop dreaming. “The Compound Effect”.
