I was a science teacher and got a job after college. Like many people, I lived for Fridays and Saturdays. I was sad to think about doing this for a lifetime and wasting my prime years while never having enough. I didn’t have enough money. My income was mainly used to pay my bills. It was the same every day I went to work. I saw everyone on social media travelling the world and wanted the same lifestyle. It felt like I was being held back. This idea of life was not for me.
I gave my entrepreneurial instincts a try four years ago. I was initially introduced to real estate investing but was skeptical due my inexperience, low credit score (508), and lack of savings.
I still have vivid memories of the day I signed my first contract. It made me $4,800 and I was driving to the bank to cash it, when my eyes began to water. I wanted to be tough but I couldn’t help but blink and let the tear of joy drop. I was finally able to see the future I had always hoped for. It took me only a few hours to make the money I wanted. It was huge for me back then. It was the only way to financial freedom.
Since then, I have been consistently making $100k+ per annum with just part-time work. I have realized that money is a blessing. We can now afford the things we want and go on vacations to places that were once a distant dream.
