I Chuan-Mind intention boxing-Eight standing positions are used to increase internal power and vitality. Wang Hsiang Zai developed the I Chuan system. He was a student in the Hebei Hsing of Guo Yun Shen.-The i School is heavily influenced from bagua Zhangi.
The eight standing positions work with chi. They are done at heights that range from above the head (near the navel) to the lower tantien (nearer the neck). The poses are derived from Taoism’s 200 original postures and are used to bring out the innate power of the body.
The I Chuan postures serve several purposes.
– To open up the energy channels
– To rebalance the energies in your body
– To strengthen any energetic weaknesses
– To unlock the body’s latent potentials and capacities.
