When it comes to podcasting equipment and actual podcast production, I’ve come a long way. In December 2005, I began podcasting as a hobby using a Logitech headset (less than $40) with a microphone on the side and free recording software on my laptop. It took me hours to create a single podcast back then.

I was often plagued by poor audio levels, hisses and hums in the background or hours of lost material due to software problems.

Today, I’ve produced well over 2,400 of my own podcast episodes and I am happy to announce that out of the last 2,300, I’ve only lost one single episode. Not only that, but I’ve learned how to get perfect audio levels 100% of the time.
