There’s no denying that being an entrepreneur is hard work. It’s supposed to be like that though… it’s almost like a selection process.

This path is brave because it is what you have to say to society. ‘no thanks, I’ll do it my own way’ and have chosen to dance to your own beat. The right ‘path’ It can make a difference in your life.-Change one that gives money and freedom in abundance to those who can crack the code and break free.

My experience has shown me that people often pick the wrong thing. ‘path’They end up feeling unhappy, exhausted, stressed, overworked, and lacking in energy, time, and money. Their dreams are destroyed.

In fact, there are some ‘entrepreneurs’ would actually be better off if they gave up on the dream and eliminated the stress in their lives by going and working for someone – and there is NO shame in this whatsoever.. .in fact, it makes perfect sense in a lot of cases…

It was for my own accountability; and was looking to trade what I knew in business and marketing for them keeping me accountable…

Then others wanted accountability, too. To learn how I did it, they contacted me. ‘Get Sh*t Done’ as well..Then It all went a bit batsh*t. Lol.

The group was originally intended to consist of 15 people.-20 people now make up a vibrant community that is open to breaking stuff, asking questions, making mistakes, getting help and having fun doing it.
It’s like my home from home, and many other people feel the same way too.

It is now an organically growing community of over 12,000 people, who are either business owners or in employment and trying their best to build their own. ‘thing’ In an effort to escape the grind, and to live life according to their rules.

It’s still a funny thing to me how a simple plum can achieve success that is normally reserved for the elite ‘smart people’You can make a difference in your life by simply making some key decisions, and then taking action.

You have to understand, I’m no different to you.. I’m just as guilty as you are for getting the dreaded shiny object syndrome and wanting to go ‘balls deep’ You can do a million different things simultaneously, ask Dexter my mentor about how many times he threatened me in the past ‘unique’ punishments just so I don’t deviate from the plan.

Speaking of my mentor Dexter, making the decision to get a coach/mentor (who is MUCH further up the ladder of success than I am) involved in the business decisions in my life, is one of the aforementioned key decisions that has made an incredible difference to the rate at which I’ve grown as an entrepreneur.

Why?

Because who you spend time with matters far more than you think.
Even your closest friends and family could be holding you back.

As humans we are conditioned to be cautious…
Take care…
Don’t talk to strangers…
You can play it on the ‘safe side’…

All things we ‘well meaning’ People tell us that this can stifle creativity and reduce the desire to challenge boundaries. It also hinders our ability to achieve big, hairy goals of epic proportions. You can have someone you care about (or even worse) someone you love. ‘unqualified’ Online) to put doubt in your mind, or to tell you ‘NO’ There are many reasons why you might feel the need to carry the risk of failure on your shoulders.

Ever wonder if your loved ones or those who are close to you, see the same thing? ‘have your best interests’ at heart – are actually scared you’ll achieve what they never had the confidence to themselves, or what will happen to THEM if you succeed?

Of course they’d never admit that, and I’m not suggesting you should probe them and fall out over it…

But the point I’m making is that the opinions and experience of others can either consciously or subconsciously shape the way you approach your life and with what level of grit and determination you apply.

And trust me, I’ve been there.

While I’m lucky to have had nothing but the full unwavering support from my parents, including the sales legend that is ‘Big Pappa Nige’, I have taken a few calculated risks in my life to get where I am…I was down to my last £10 note, but it now sits in a frame next to a photo of me and Gary Vaynerchuk

It’s been a whirlwind few years for me.

Just 4 short years ago that I had a bunch of credit cards maxed out to over £27,500 and a job that was slowly crushing the life out of me. Due to my crippling credit card debt, I had to often make a decision.

What can I do to fuel my car?
You can also go to the supermarket during closing hours to purchase some food at a reduced price ‘bottom dollar’ prices?

Walk, or you will starve.
Fun choice eh?

It was time for things to change.

I couldn’t go on like this so I decided to take action and throw myself in at the deep end.

Ryan Levesque was looking for a copywriting apprenticeship. At the time, I only had 5 weeks of experience. ‘proper’ copy experience under my belt? I said, “Fuck it!” – do it! After a brutal assault..on me (a combination of email, videos and phone calls), my foot finally got on the lowest rung.

I was determined prove my worth.

I was a lazy prankster who didn’t really earn my stripes. I wrote seemingly endless copy within the timeframe required. It was usually very tight, for reasons. I took each and every project and assignment and didn’t once question anything.

I did the work.

Honestly? To be honest, I think the punishing induction period that I had to endure was far more valuable than any type of physical payment. You get to see the inside of a 7-figure business. You can witness the smooth operation of your business model and be part of it.

It was a real eye-opener to say the very least..

Ryan had been my mentor for about 18 months. I was impressed by the opportunity to learn from people who worked at the same level as me and to get the financial rewards.

Soon, I was able to get in the water with both my feet and learned from Doberman. DanRyan Lee and Ben discuss all aspects of marketing, sales, and generally proving your worth. As well, I have spent crazy amounts of money on masterminds, courses, and coaching groups. On the last count it has surpassed a low six figure sum (I’ve stopped adding it all up as I continue to further my knowledge.. in niches as diverse as stand up comedy these days.. lol)

The heading at the beginning of the paragraph is true. Both of them hang above my TV in my living room. When I lost everything in my late 20’s, I had to take a job as a doorman to make ends meet.

One day I was given a £10 note as a tip when I was working after perhaps one of the most unpleasant nights of my time there (I had to help unblock something called ‘an eviscerator’ Create my own biohazard suit using refuse bags This is a time I cherish. ‘shit gate’…now)

On that particular day I made a promise to myself that this would be my lowest point and the £10 note was symbolic in representing that. I asked myself: “If I ever spent it?” I failed.

I had to pull myself from the pit I was in.

Gary Vaynerchuk?

As you can see, I’m in the middle of writing my best-selling book. ‘How To Be F*cking Awesome’ .. My first ever live event was where Gary gave a keynote address to all Coffee with. Dan members. It was my highest point in my entrepreneurial journey.

Putting these two together where I see them every day is a lasting reminder of where I’ve come from and what can be achieved when you get the help you need, are surrounded by the right people, and you do the work..

Be consistent and do the work. Also, mimic the industry’s habits. ‘players’ Gary and I are the foundations of what I have today,

But for some?

This is not enough.
They want that extra level…
They recognize the value of going an extra mile.

We should mention that being part a small group of entrepreneurs, coaches and experts is a great idea. ‘have your back’ 24/7 doesn’t seem like an important thing, then there’s no need for you to read a single word more.

Now I’m not going to give it the classic ‘It’s the sort of group I wish was available when I was starting out..’
