Derek Halpern – Sales Page that Converts Standard
Yes. This page. A large headline. A compelling opening paragraph. A story to tell. That’s how I built my business from scratch into a multi-million dollar business.
And I’d like to show you how you can create a page like this for your business.
…even if you’re not a writer.
(As a matter of fact, if you’re a “writer,” It is possible that you could even be at an advantage. Writers get fancy. But fancy doesn’t sell).
…even if you’re not good at selling.
And I’ll prove to you that It can be used for virtually any online business.
First, you should know that these pages are called salespages. This page, regardless of what you sell online is required to persuade people that your products or services are worth their time.
They are used by large companies to promote their new products or services.
These services are also used by small businesses that sell coaching, consulting, or online courses.
And if you look around, you’ll see different types of businesses who use sales pages to persuade people to buy.
Personally, I’ve seen people use sales pages to sell anything from an e-From book to speech to hand-made leather bag, to an online course, to a piece of software…
There are many other things.
So I’m confident in sharing this information with you.
You need a sales page, no matter what product you sell.
Hi, I’m Derek Halpern, the founder of Social Triggers…
Most people don’t know that I spent the last 10 years neurotically studying the world’s best sales pages, some of which dated back to more than 100 years ago (back when companies use to send them through snail mail!).
And let me tell you: developing this skill paid off…
My business has grown exponentially over the past 5 years.
Here’s a screenshot:
Well…
A sales page was responsible for almost every sale.
I’ve created sales pages that They were both short and “more visual.” I’ve created sales pages that These were lengthy. They were sometimes only shared after an event. “product launch.” Other times, sales pages were available 24/7.
These sales pages were used to sell my online courses and software products. Even an affiliate page was used to sell products.
How was it possible to continue growing my business year after année while maintaining healthy profit margins.
Let me share a quick story…
How to Make a Short Sales Page They helped me
Earn $6.90 for Every Purchase Sales Page Visit
(The total amount? $172,560 generated)
A new online course I created was sold for $99 to $199, depending on the option that people purchased.
So, I put together a short sales page to sell it…
This sales page looked terrible, let me assure you.
The design was plain…
My writing was just okay…
I am lying if I say that I had a BROKEN IMAGE of myself after I introduced me.
Here’s a screenshot of the top of the page:
Even though there were many issues with this sales page I managed to keep it running. It worked.
WHY?
I was familiar with the psychology of how to make a page look like this. that They would convince people to buy.
I just left it as it was and started driving traffic. I was able to reach 25,671 people. that Traffic made $172 560 in revenue
Take a look at that for one second…
- It was a single-column page with no other than plain black text.
- It featured a BROKEN image near the top.
- It took me only about a week to put it all together
However, I understood the psychology behind how to create an environment that is welcoming and uplifting. Sales Page that ConvertsThis page was highly profitable because it included all the details (e.g., where and why).
I thought at first that “it’s time to buy a big gold watch!” Because, that’s what people who run online businesses do, right? You can buy expensive watches and drive fancy cars. “work from the beach.”
But then common sense kicked in…
I’m not kidding. Who wouldn’t be?
Nothing is more satisfying than seeing people buy a product or service you have just released.
Especially when you know how it feels when you ask people to buy something and they don’t buy it. Nearly no one politely replies. “No thank you.” Being cursed out is much more common than I ever thought.
“But what if I can’t generate that many visitors?”
I have great news: I never said I got all those people to the page all over the course of a few days…
You don’t need traffic today…
A great, high quality, and well-designed website is one of the biggest benefits.-This is how to convert a sales page:
A sales page can be created once, and it can be used over and again.
And that’s exactly what I did.
You can see the traffic breakdown over time here.
This page was created in December 2013. I continued to use it. that The same page through January 2015
I didn’t generate that traffic all at once…
It was slow and gradual.
Step 1 was to create an online sales page. Step 2 was driving traffic. that sales page.
Imagine the possibilities! that feels for a second…
You have a product or service to sell…
You have a salespage that persuades people to buy it…
Then all you need to do is relax and enjoy the moment. You don’t have to worry about “selling” anything.
You can focus on what you’re good at, whether it’s teaching, doing, creating, or affiliating.
All this is done by the sales page “work” To sell it.
Which leads me to…
If you are a Sales Page that Converts,
You can TEST different methods to drive traffic.
At first I wasn’t sure about the “best way” to generate traffic for this specific product…
…So I tested everything over the course of 14 months:
- I did the typical “product launch,” where I sent some content and was followed up with “opening” And “closing” my sales page.
- I conducted webinars, which were sometimes automated. Live webinars, and sometimes, after the webinar, I sent people directly to my sales page.
- I paid for advertising – sometimes through Facebook, other times through other places like Google – and I sent these people to my sales page.
- Guest posting on other blogs I referred them back to my site, and my website prominently displayed the sales page.
I truly tried it all…
I saw what worked – and what didn’t work. I could also see the results with my own eyes, as I could tell if people were buying what I was selling.
And that’s when I had the big realization:
This is one of the BEST things you can invest your time in learning how to do…
I am aware that’s a bold claim, but if you want to start – and grow – an online business, you’ll have to do a lot of work. One of the keys to success is finding the right things. that The “biggest return” Time investment
Well…
I spent about a full day creating this particular sales page. And that day’s work helped me generate $172,560 over the next 14 months.
Yes, it was hard work. “tests” Traffic was what I did, but the page was complete once it was finished.
It’s no wonder that the world’s best sales page copywriters charge $10,000 or $25,000 PLUS residual commissions on each sale a sales page makes.
(Yes, you can sell!) “sales page copywriting” for less than a few thousand dollars, but they often aren’t worth it… I know someone who paid about a grand for a sales page and they hated it. They couldn’t even publish it).
But if you learn how to do it yourself, you can do some work today, tomorrow, and the next day… and you can benefit from that Same work for many years.
Social Triggers has 5 core products. Each product has its own page of sales. I’ve never written about this. that sales page once.
- One sales page I wrote back in 2012 was the one I still use. that Page today in 2016.
- I also wrote a sales page in December 2013 and used it up to January 2015.
- I also wrote another sales page in August 2014. I still use this page. that Today’s page.
- Also, I have another sales page that September 2014: I wrote this article that I still use today.
And this isn’t an isolated incident…
In the world of “sales page copywriting,” This practice is called “creating a control.” And that This is basically what it means: You create a webpage and then you decide if it converts well or poorly. that’s your “baseline.”
Then, if you want to IMPROVE your sales, you can write a new sales page to test against your control… and see if your new sales page beats it. If it doesn’t, you leave the control in place, and keep moving forward.
But I never did that…
You see, once I made a Sales Page that It was adequate – it converted to my standards. I left it alone.
I was further strengthened by this belief.
Sales Pages = Money
You were there to see it. Create a Sales Page that Converts is a great way to invest your time…
How do you make one?
Well…
