If you have been following me you have read I was recently diagnosed with Hasimotos’ thyroiditis a form of thyroid disease that has an immune system component where the body turns on its own organs.

I’ve been following Dr. Axe He is a doctor in natural medicine, a chiropractor, and a nutritionist. He practices in Nashville, Tennessee, using essential oils and food supplements. Dr. Axe’s specialties is “leaky gut syndrome” thought to be one of the root causes of Hasimotos’.

As a Reiki energy practitioners, I have long been interested in the healing properties of essential oils, I’ve taken workshops before and use them in my own life; on myself, my dog, my husband and my granddaughter. I was aware of our health problems and decided to revisit the topic to learn more. I also wanted to find the best oils for my Gene Brain issues and thyroid issues.

When Dr. Axe I was offered a one-hour essential oils webinar for free. I eagerly listened in. Although I’ve used oils on my skin a lot, I was more familiar with diffusers.

Oil Aromatherapy is the use of diffusers to control the scent and medicinal properties of essential oils. The essential oils can be inhaled to bring you closer to the plant’s life force as well as your own. The diffuser allows oil to penetrate the skin and harmonize your natural energy.

Sometimes people mistakenly confuse an aromatherapy diffuser for a humidifier. They are actually two different things. The home humidifiers increase moisture in the air. They use large humidifiers to moisten large rooms, or they can be integrated into the heating system to humidify your entire house. They are most commonly used in dry areas of the west United States to increase humidity (moisture), especially during winter. They can also be used in humid climates during winter when the furnace is blowing dry air into the home.

The humidity in the air can affect the health benefits of essential oils in the diffuser. A diffuser delivers a micro-fine mist to deliver the healing oil’s essential elements in the area of your choice. Dry air can clog your lungs, so the diffuser would be a great way to help you unwind.-stuff your nose.

My Diffuser Needs:

Four timer settings for asonic/humidifier

The reservoir is large enough to store enough water for me to sleep through the night. You can choose to turn off the colors or just go with white. It also has a timer so it will turn off when it runs low on water.
