Module 1 (75 minutes)
Introduction and How Pain Works
Over the last ten years, pain science has seen a significant shift in our understanding. Now we know that pain is not a good indicator of the health of the body. Things like bulging discs and herniated discs are much more common than we think. This module will explain how pain works and give you the most recent evidence.-Based self-Management strategies and recommendations on when to refer to a healthcare professional.
Module 2 (55 minutes)
Exercises for Back Pain: A Biopsychosocial Approach
We will discuss how pain works and how to make it tolerable so clients with low back pain can keep exercising. Follow these steps to learn more-You’ll find a PDF guide that will help you identify the movements you should limit or avoid, which ones are to prioritize and what exercises to recommend so your clients can keep moving.
Module 3 (30 Min)
Restoring mobility and building Back Stronger
It’s time for you to make your back feel better. Painful movements can only be avoided for so long. This module will teach you how to assist clients with painful movements, and how to safely move to a strengthening program. Many clients leave physiotherapy feeling much better but still need the extra help. “push” To help them reach higher levels of fitness, they can seek the advice of a professional. Module 4 (50 minutes)
Exploring the Common Self-Management Strategies
You’ve now learned how to have productive conversations with clients with low back pain and how to encourage safe and effective exercise. Let’s explore common problems.-Management strategies. This module will teach you about stretching, foam rolling and posture. It also discusses electrical stimulation. Then, we will discuss our three favorite self-treatments.-Management strategies that produce lasting results
Module 5 (50min)
Common Low Back Pain Scenarios
This module will cover 3 types of back pain. We will first discuss sciatica and its causes. We then take a close examination of the “dreaded lifter’s low back tweak” How to be a better person-Manage this situation. You may have clients who have turned their backs on you.-Do some deadlifts or squats. Finally, we discuss how to treat back pain caused by prolonged standing or walking.
