STEVEN HAYES, Ph.D.
Steven C. Hayes Ph.D. is the creator of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), best-Selling author of Get out of Your Mind, into Your Life, and Nevada Foundation Professor at The University of Nevada’s Department of Psychology. He is the author of 32 books, and more than 400 scientific articles. in He has been researching how language and thought lead to human suffering and has created ACT as a means of rectifying these issues. Dr. Hayes is a past president of several scientific societies and has received many national awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award from Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy.
