Gad Horowitz – Radical General Semantics
The Book of Radical General Semantics, arranged into seven Parts, begins with a new look at the motor of Korzybski’s general semantics – the Structural Differential. Part II introduces Silent Practice, which is a focus on sensory experience and integral to more evaluative processes. Silent Practice precedes The Devices of General Semantics (Part III), as it facilitates that “fraction of a second psycho-logical delay” These devices are intended. In Part IV, the “Self” The Structural Differenceial, which is free to be used in Free Will, is turned inwards to provide a multifaceted solution.-levelled map of one’s very own self in which oneself is three: event-Self and object-Label, self-self. In Part V, Politics, the devices and formulations of general semantics are applied to such diverse issues as President Obama’s ‘You Didn’t Build That’ speech, the ultra-Left ‘Tiqqun’ group, and the Canadian monarchy. The Meta Model is deliberately late (Part VI of the book). Here Gad The Meta Model was created as a practice within Neuro.-Linguistic Programming (NLP), as it was originally known General Semantics. Part VII. Part VII. Participation: Myth art religion brings together a variety of resonances of radical semantics with studies in music, photography, filming theoretical concepts and writing, myth, and religion. The majority of the writing is written by Gad HorowitzColin Campbell contributed many rich chapters, especially to Part VII.
