Robin Gilbert, RN, MSN, CEN, CPEN, has over 25 years’ experience in emergency nursing. Many of her years in emergency nurse included time in the pediatric emergency department at Boston Medical Center. She is both an accredited pediatric emergency nurse as well as a certified emergency nursing assistant. Robin has experience as an emergency department manager, manager of cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation and, currently, as the regional manager for staff development at Central Maine Medical Center. She also teaches the NCLEX review course for Kaplan, and tutors nursing students online at a local college. She was also a Board Certification of Emergency Nursing item writer and Chairperson. Robin was the coordinator for her employer’s “Pathway to Excellence” The designation was granted in 2012.
Robin keeps up to date with the best practices and trends in pediatric care. Robin received her BSN. from Curry College, Massachusetts with her MSN from Saint Joseph’s College, Maine. Robin is an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and a reviewer for the ANCC’s Pathway to Excellence program.
Susan Fralick-Ball, PsyD, MSN, CLNC, CH, She is a certified clinical neuropsychologist and has 40 years of experience in clinical/educational nursing. As a neuropsychologist she has dealt with patients suffering from a variety of neurological disorders. Susan Coordinated all administrative and clinical activities for the stroke program at a nationally recognized neurological institution.-She also established a stroke support group for staff, families, and patients at a rehabilitation hospital. In addition, she assisted patients with neuromuscular disorders and neurodegenerative conditions such as MS, Guillain.-Barré, CIDP, Parkinson’s, Myasthenia Gravis, ALS, Spinal cord injuries, TBI, head trauma, and dementias.
I was a member of the Neurocognitive Region Conference Committee. Susan She was instrumental in the development and presentation of conferences to educate medical and support staff on neurological developments and challenges. She has taught neurophysiology and neurological nurse at the graduate degree. She has mentored, supervised, and trained psychologists, nurses, and music therapists in a clinical setting. Dr. Fralick-Ball She is the founder and current president of PsychMedEd, where she continues her work with patients affected by the negative psychological effects of neurological disorders. She is also a neuropsychologist at VistaMed in Philadelphia and a nationally-recognized educator and speaker on nursing/psychology topics. With Thy Grace, her charitable organization, continues to offer social assistance to people with neurological conditions.
