There is a clear path to success “Advanced” Gymnastic Ring Skills
Pay attention to the quotations: “advanced”
There’s a world of difference between what’s advanced for the average fitness enthusiast versus a competitive gymnast.
For a gymnast, skills like the iron cross are not considered advanced at all, but they don’t live in the same world you and I do. That’s a specialized sports environment, and I don’t think you want to train twenty hours a week.
Rings Two will teach you solid progressions for handstands and rolls, front levers, rear levers, and even the iron cross. And if you’re properly prepared for the training, you can complete the program in as little as five months.
Don’t get us wrong – this is NOT a shortcut program.
The iron cross requires a lot of tendon strength and can only be achieved after many months of training.
Trying to move too fast will only lead to injury and frustration, but R2 will build up your strength methodically, so after each run through the program, you’ll have made clearly visible progress on increasingly difficult skills.
R2 was created from the ground up to offer non-gymnasts the most efficient method to gain strength for general fitness.

When it comes to training for high-level gymnastic rings, there are no shortcuts. R2 is a series of incremental steps that improve skill and condition the joints, making it more accessible to non-gymnasts.

Knowing how to perform an iron cross isn’t enough. You must prepare your muscles and joints for high-leverage holds. R2 prepares you for years of practice and exploration.
You can adapt it to meet your specific needs
The skills are modular so you can either use them as a whole program or the progressions to complement another training program. You have the option to choose.
A PROGRAM THAT GROWS WITH You
And unlike some other programs that only allow you to do one exercise per week, this program allows you to keep doing the same workouts over and over. GMB recognizes that you’ll require different strategies as your strength and skills develop. That’s why Rings You will be able to continue your progress by completing two of the four program phases. Each phase builds on the one before.
bThe skills we’re aiming at require not just strength, but specific joint preparation to prevent tendon injuries. Phase 1 provides the foundation for the intensive work that follows.
