Focused Flexibility It has changed how I stretch.
Previously, dynamic stretches were done separately. For static/PNF stretching, I now use the same pattern as FF: dynamic stretching followed with PNF. I find the dynamic movements make the PNF less uncomfortable so it’s easier to spend more time stretching. Because the movements are stronger close to my limits of flexibility, I think it helps reduce injury.
Although it is difficult to measure the increase in strength, my kicking (taekwon-do) has improved. I practice the pancake stretch as described in this program almost every day.

I didn’t really understand how to stretch before or how to breathe while stretching. Grouping of specific areas also helped a lot because I didn’t understand that before either!
