Others may not realize it was happening. Such shifts, or “awakenings,” These are not new: Christ spoke about the “Kingdom of Heaven within,” Buddhists talk of Nirvana and Zen masters of Satori. However, these traditions consider these states rare and difficult to achieve.
Many people doubt the claims of higher states or consciousness. It’s hard for many people to believe that even their most common friends and neighbors could be experiencing something special. Perhaps they are expecting Enlightenment on the outside to look as amazing as it is on the inside.

Buddha At The Gas Pump aims to dispel doubts and misconceptions week by week, allowing ordinary people to share their spiritual awakening. It is difficult to define this experience because there aren’t universally agreed upon terms. Furthermore, enlightenment can only be experienced by a single person. “gets”. It’s not even something that the mind can grasp. It’s an awakening to that which contains the mind and all other things. So it’s not surprising that language is inadequate to convey it.
