The Diagonal variation of the Calendar spread is called the Diagonal. and It reduces the Vega exposure for a Calendar spread. It also has a Delta bias, which is why it is used when a trade is being executed. It is crucial to understand this. and Before you attempt a Diagonal spread, you will need to become an expert at trading Calendar spreads. While the Diagonal may have the same characteristics of a Calendar spread spread, it is still a complex variation on the Calendar spread.
