Take a look at this “teach to a script” Method has helped popularize yoga classes tremendously, and although many classes have been taught using this method, It seems It’s great to have a practice that is both effective and efficient, but it can be difficult to improve your results by simply following a scripted class or reading aloud.
Let me tell you, this is the truth:
A script to teach yoga does not give you the ability to finesse, nuances, and subtleties.
It can be difficult to find exact information and detail advice.
But I hear that you are saying, “My classes!” Feel great? Does that not mean that I am always improving?
Not necessarily!
Yoga It is possible to “practice”.
It is important to know the difference between a great and safe practice… and one that has poor habits.
I have seen students make classic mistakes over and over again. (and some teachers who are unable to offer a correction* because they have never been taught how to correct them).
Even worseWhile you may be able to follow your teacher’s instruction and think your pose positions and movements are correct, there are times when your safety could be in danger.
*I really DO want to acknowledge that there are amazing hot yoga teachers that ARE doing a wonderful job – making the “script” They have the ability to change lives and raise standards.
Don’t Unknowingly Put

I find it very alarming when people say things like: “Go back until it hurts”, “It’s supposed to hurt like hell”, “Kill yourself”.
It should worry you too! … However, only if your practice is interested in significantly increasing the benefits it provides.

This is a great question to ask!
This is my answer.
In 1999, when I began my first practice, I was HOOKED!
I was able to attend class 7 to 8 times per week, and it helped me quickly develop a sense of self. “good” practice. Teachers were excellent, classes were friendly and I was frequently used as an example to students or to demonstrate a pose.
It was really difficult to get better from there. “expert tips”. There were no corrective actions for my errors that I knew I had to make, nor any help to move beyond my current practice.
I wanted to know more.
So, I attended teacher training in Los Angeles. It was incredible to meet 264 other hot yoga-loving trainees!
As a dentist I wanted to be able to better understand the anatomy of hot yoga and how it can benefit all types of bodies. But, it was not up to my standards.
Actually, those who attended my training will remember it fondly. Public “difference of opinion” One doctor had presented me with a medical fact I didn’t believe. I couldn’t allow anyone else to leave with the same misconception, and possibly pass it on their students.
Let me be very clear: I am extremely grateful for my yoga tradition and all the teacher trainings that it brings. “yoga to the masses”.
I am certain that this is true “franchise style method” This means that we may not be getting the full benefits of our years of experience and wisdom.
It all boils down to this: How will YOU get the depth you need in your poses, coaching, adjustments, corrections, and any other changes to your practice that might be necessary to avoid injury?
