Janina Fisher, Ph.D., A licensed clinical psychologist and Former instructor at The Trauma Center, a research and Bessel van der Kolk established the first treatment center. Bessel van der Kolk is a recognized expert in the field of the Dr. Fisher is also a trauma specialist and has been treating couples as well as individuals. and Families since 1980
She was past president the New England Society for the Treatment of Trauma and Dissociation, an EMDR International Association Credit Provider and Assistant Educational Director the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute and Former Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Fisher lectures and Nationally certified teachers and Internationally on topics related to the Integration of the Neurobiological research and Modern trauma treatment techniques are integrated into the traditional therapeutic modalities.
She is also coauthor with Pat Ogden of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy – Interventions for Attachment and Trauma (2015) and Author of Healing the Fragmented Selves Trauma Survivors: Overcoming internal self-alienation (2017) and the Coming book Working with the Neurobiological Legacy Trauma (in press).
