A long time ago, I worked in a sales office. I was young and still learning.
My primary activity was to handle incoming sales inquiries over the telephone.
Many of the calls came from companies who had already used a competitor. They were price-shopping.
We actually had one of the best deals in town, but unless the customers had been signed up with any of the others, they just weren’t as receptive to my presentation.
