A SOULFUL INVITATION FROM JOAN BORYSENKO
Dear friends
Over 50 years ago, I was diagnosed with severe childhood mental illness. This included OCD and psychosis. A profound spiritual experience changed my perspective on life and helped me recover almost instantly after several months. A few minutes of contact with my soul, or my authentic self, provided me the inner strength and guidance that I needed to heal.
The moment I had a brief glimpse of the soul during a dark time in my own life was enough to make me realize my deepest desire and professional calling in medicine and psychology, as well as the art and science of spiritual guidance.
The Western healing arts focus on the body, but also, in a limited way, the mind and how it interacts with the body. Medicine and psychology are powerful tools that can lead to important cures.
But the source of most of our chronic illnesses is not yet known. Disable-ease, A false identity is one that includes dissatisfaction, addiction, and failure to improve our health. Our responses to the world are programmed and limited, just like computers. Parker Palmer, Quaker educator and philosopher, refers to our lives as “our”. “role” Instead of from our souls,
The root word for wholeness is the key to healing. When we transcend our societal and personal programming, we are able to access the energy and guidance from the soul. That experience doesn’t lend itself well to words. It is, however, the Feeling we most cherish – Happiness, contentment, quiet clarity of mind, and energy to act when the moment is rightThe emergence of love and harmony in our lives and work.
The It’s the best part! Living from your soul is contagious. It’s a precious transmission of love and human potential that infects the people around us.
The The emerging field of spirituality, healing and meditation provides a small research base about the benefits of living from our center. Through this 7-day workshop, I will share my experience as a Harvard and Tufts cancer researcher, medical educator, trainer of spiritual mentors, and author.-Week SoulCare Course. The heart, mind and soul are all connected It is what I love the best.
I’m grateful to Stephen Dinan for giving me the opportunity to share what I’ve learned so far, to be instructed by what you’ve learned, and to form You can find a community that encourages you to inquire and practice.
