John Romaniello – Practicum Veritae
If any of these describe you…
You want to use writing to form a deep, lasting connection with your audience, but don’t know how…
You write all the time, but you have no idea if you’re getting any better…
You know you have something to say, but you can’t quite capture it in writing…
It feels like your writing is a masterpiece “stiff” Or boring…
You are at the right place.
The other…
If you don’t fit the description,
…if even one percent of you thinks that writing isn’t an advantage…
You are now certain to be where you need to go, as it is even more important to have a conversation.
Best for all concerned if you sit down, strap in, and put on a helmet—so we don’t make a mess when I blow your fucking mind.
First things first. Introductions and all that.
So. Hey there.
My name’s John Romaniello. I’m a writer, coach, tattoo collector, and the creator of Practicum Veritae (About which I will tell you in just a few seconds).
john romaniello platypus
If you don’t know my work and want me to check a few credibility boxes for ya, I’ve got that whole “New York Times bestselling author and 7-figure entrepreneur” Things are happening.
If you are impressed by any of these things, great.
If not, my mom’s proud of me, and I’ve got this fancy stuffed platypus, so I’m set.
More than anything else, I’m a world-class brooder with a penchant for words, and I’m about to radically shift your understanding of writing.
But I’m also a pretty savvy copywriter…so before I wax rhapsodic about my love of the craft:
Gimme just 60 seconds to contextualize and show you why—despite living in the age of Instagram and YouTube—writing is still the most impactful skill you can learn.
Cool? Cool.
Let’s start with a FUN FACT.
According to a recent survey, 86% of all communication between people was written in 2017.
We now produce more words per year thanks to texts, emails, and DMs than professional writers did 20-years ago.
And that doesn’t even include actual content.
But if you look at the nonsense plastered across the Internet, it’s clear that we have a problem.
Despite the fact that we increasingly rely on writing for daily communication, people are actually getting worse at it.
You need to first understand why this is a problem.
Good writing captures the attention INSTANTLY.
It happens every time. (It’s science.)
The human brain recognizes and values physical beauty, visual harmony, and sonic melody, just as it does with music.
…well-Written words are able to move through us in a way that few other things do.
Even though you might not be actively searching for great writing,
When you read something amazing, you instantly know it.
Without even realizing, you are hooked.
You can go from one word to the next. And so on. The next.
You’re already halfway down the page and are absorbed in what’s being read, eager to find out how it ends.
What about after? Engage.
You’re more likely to comment on it.
More likely to share it.
You are more likely to recall it.
Writing is not just easy to comprehend. It’s compelling. Persuasive. Influential. Memorable.

It grabs your attention. It inspires action—and interaction.
That is what makes the difference.
The Uncomfortable Reality: Content is not enough to make you unique.
Content creation is essential. You must make it good. Your output must be convincing, useful, and effective.
What’s more? This is not a unique situation. That’s what your competitors can do.
Precious little of what you teach is unique—and with so many voices clamoring for attention, it’s easy to get lost in the crowd…
You need to be heard above the noise if your goal is to succeed and make lasting impacts.
And when it comes to standing out, fostering connection, and creating emotional response, nothing—and I mean nothing—can match writing.
Because writing is much more than simply a medium for conveying information.
It’s all about how you sell.
It’s all about how you teach.
It’s how you connect.
It is how you get people to take action.
If you’re not writing, you’re missing a tremendous opportunity to build a real, deep, lasting connection with anyone, from your customers to your crush.
If you don’t actively try to improve your writing, then you will continue to miss these opportunities.
…and all of the others that follow.
This is why I have developed systems that allow me to help my clients make amazing changes in any area they can think of.
Any of them will tell ya, good writing can have a profound effect on your business, brand, and life.
“It was invaluable to learn about how to spread my message
in a way more people will actually hear.”
This has inspired me to improve my writing to 100%.
It was invaluable to learn how to use my writing specifically to grow my business, but more importantly—to spread my message and mission in a way more people will actually hear.”

You’d expect more people to focus on writing, given its importance (and undeniable effectiveness).
But they don’t.
What is the WHY?
It’s simple.
What You Don’t Know
What you don’t know
Most people don’t write because they don’t know where to focus.
There’s so much people don’t understand, and so many things they don’t even know.
You might be like many people who struggle.
Because you don’t know how define, you don’t know how to improve their writing. “good” writing.
It’s impossible to know when and if you might write something. “good,” How to make it more attractive.
They don’t know if they are improving.
Even if you knew the key aspects, there would be no way to determine what worked or didn’t.
In other words, you are blind.
That’s okay. Many people are like that; I’m here for you to shine a light on it.
Let’s make it as easy as possible.
You need to know three things if you are going to be able write well.
a clear voice
A defined process
A structured approach to assessment
Let’s start by talking about voice.
Your voice, in its simplest form, is your voice “sounds” You are a great example.
The greatest compliment a writer can receive is ” “I love reading your work. It always pulls me in. I feel like you’re talking right to me.”
It is the voice.
Writing is only as good as its voice.
If writing was just the act of putting words on paper in a way that makes it easy to understand, then there would be no art.
It is possible to communicate your truth in a beautiful, impactful manner that will make a difference in everything, from your personal relationships to how people react to your work.
Your writing Voice—the truest expression of who you are, put down on paper—is one of the most unique things about you.
Whatever your goals are with your writing, it is important to find your voice.
But. You probably knew this.
Here’s what most people don’t know:
Your writing process is just as important than your writing voice.
While the brooding wordsmith within me would love to concentrate on the satisfying nature of the craft, the truth is that there’s so much more to it than the art.
Because while cultivating aptitude accessing your voice is a necessary step for any creative, it’s just as important is to develop proficiency around your practice.
The greatest writers don’t just know how to write amazing things. They also know how to recreate it.
For them, writing is both art and science—but it is first and foremost an act of (literal) creation: it requires you to produce something.
It is essential that you can actually put words on the page. It is essential that you are able to do this consistently.
So, the most talented and successful writers live in the “overlap,” Understanding the importance of art and science sharing something is essential.
This is the key.
Without a process, execution can be unpredictable, production is not predictable, and creation can be haphazard.
Everything changes when you go through a process.
✍_x0001F3FB_ This course helps you understand how your flows and ebbs affect your writing and how to use them to improve it.
✍_x0001F3FB_ You can tell when you are most creative and productive, and why it matters.
✍_x0001F3FB_ Know which tools will make your words flow faster.
✍_x0001F3FB_ It is possible to distinguish between feeling unproductive or having a creative block.
✍_x0001F3FB_ Strategies that increase output have been tested and data has been collected to support them.
Above all, a structured, effective process makes you consistent.
There are words on the page. Better words, more often and with greater ease.
You can express yourself with a defined voice in writing
You can do it all with a clearly defined writing Process.
Both are equally important. Vital.
Separate—but inseparable.
Here are some ways to focus your efforts on both.
In the past, you were left to fend for yourself. Your journey to find your voice was a process that involved trial and error, copying others and thousands upon thousands of hours spent writing.
But, it’s been hard to find your voice because there hasn’t been much thought about creating your own process.
A process allows you to not only get the words down in much less time but also gives you more control over your development. This will allow you to find and refine your voice in a more controlled way.
This is what I do for all my mentorship clients. This is what I learned in school.
It goes beyond just working one-On-One, I have not found a great resource for helping them to create their process; find what works best for them; and put together a general guideline to help get better faster.
(You know what’s up next because you have scrolled down).
You will find the bottom of this page almost as soon as your visit and the images are complete.
However, this page is written for the purpose of making you feel good.
You might be able to make it seem even bigger.
AHEM.
Naturally, I created this exact thing.

…but also to a greater collective by providing inspiration, feedback and accountability.
Practicum Veritae shows you how to write and connect so you’ll be the coach people want to buy, over and over.
Through my books and my company, the Personal Trainer Development Center, I’ve spent the better part of the last decade helping people build the skills to be successful coaches.
Sometimes, it’s better programming and assessing strategies. Other times it’s business and marketing.
Communication is something that EVERYONE must improve. Because communication means connection.
We all need to connect to the people we’re trying to serve, whether we’re trying to educate them, entertain them, or coach them.
Writing is the best, most reliable and most leveragable method to connect.
Unfortunately, it’s an area I see a LOT of coaches neglect, focusing instead on certifications and business seminars.
But all the knowledge in the world won’t matter if you can’t communicate it to your audience in an understandable and meaningful way. And business skills aren’t nearly as useful if you the way you teach things isn’t unique to you.
Which is why I’m so psyched about John Romaniello’s Practicum Veritae: It shows you how both can be done, and breaks down the process and skills in a way that everyone can benefit, regardless what their starting point.
This is something that I strongly believe in. I purchased the course as soon as it was released.
John’s ability to connect through writing is what’s made him successful. In an interview he did with me for my first book, he said: “people don’t buy coaching, they buy coaches.”
Practicum Veritae shows you how to write and connect so you’ll be the sort of coach people want to buy, over and over.

The Practicum Protocol
This has been mentioned a few times, but let’s make it simple.
While Practicum Veritae This is secondary to your goal of becoming a better writer.
This course is designed to help you understand both the philosophical and tactical aspects of being a better writer.
…and the tools you need to do it, long-term.
You’re learning, yes. You are definitely improving.
But beyond that—
—as you go through Practicum VeritaeYou are learning how to learn.
We create permanent application by prioritizing five of the most important aspects of writing (and learning).
I. PREPARATION
Preparation is key to success, according to the experts. That’s what I found to be true. I took care of the preparation to make sure you had the best experience and the most advantage.
There are two things to consider: Practicum Principles for Unbridled learning. These are five powerful strategies that can be used to approach the craft. They are immediately available when you start the Practicum.

II. INSTRUCTION
The Practicum Writing instruction is based on the pillars.
These are the four lessons I offer. I take you deep and outline the most powerful practices that I use each time I write.
Each lesson covers an integral part of the Craft.
Objectivity
(and its importance in deciding what to write)
Your Building + Creating Process
How personal data collection can dramatically improve productivity
Writing with Your Voice
How to create memorable sentences that are impactful and memorable
How to Edit
(including assessment, grade, review, revision, and revising)
Each lesson is released weekly and includes clear instructions for how to implement them. This will allow you to build these skills gradually.
The best way to develop your Voice and Process is through assessment strategies and concrete editing techniques. Practicum Pillars.
III. III.
The heart of the Practicum It is a series of carefully constructed daily writing assignments presented in the form Of Prompts.
Each day, for 30 days you will receive a prompt. This assignment is to be completed that day, and—ideally—posted for accountability and feedback.
Now, here’s your first lesson: words matter. Specific words are the most important.
This is a very difficult task, but it is not writing. “challenge.”
It is possible to fail at a challenge. That’s not the case here.
This is a practice—and we’re using both the verb and noun form of that word.
You’ll be performing the action, the verb: practicing writing, with the goal of improvement. But you’re also building the practice of doing this daily. This is not only about getting better, but also about establishing the habit.
Each Prompt serves two purposes: it is a way to develop the habit and practice daily writing.
The assignments are designed and curated with intention. They vary in form as well as function.
Each prompt is not only entertaining, but also teaches you something.
Because you’ll be writing from different perspectives for different purposes, with different structures, and in different tones, you’ll always be using different tools.
This wide variation dramatically increases the speed at which your technical skills are improved.
But, there’s an even more important consideration: with consistent variation in topics, styles, forms, and narrative intention, the only constant is you.
Your perspective, your approach, and your experiences.
Your voice.
John’s process for helping people create impactful content with their own style is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
“When I first met John, I didn’t have the slightest idea how to write effectively.
I was unsure of what to say. I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t have my own voice. I didn’t have a process. And I didn’t know where to begin.
When I was able to sit down and write, I would just let it go, hoping for something.
I didn’t know if I was improving. John’s guidance and mentorship changed all that.
Several months later, my colleagues offered me to write their copy and content.
Since then, I’ve sold multiple millions worth of products and services, written an Amazon Bestseller on fitness marketing (the title of which John It was a great help to me! I also traveled across the country speaking at marketing conferences and copywriting workshops.
John’s process for helping people create impactful content with their own style, and their own business in mind, is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
So if you’re a business owner, a coach, or someone who wants to build a personal brand, you need Practicum Veritae In your life.
I’m so glad John finally put all this gold into one place.”
—Joey Percia, Speaker + Copywriter,
Amazon Bestseller Author
Why do you hate money?
IV. IV.
As I mentioned earlier, the biggest problem that prevents people from writing is not the act itself. They avoid it because they don’t know what’s good and bad.

That is what makes it one of the most important aspects of Practicum Veritae The toolset is used for assessment.
The following are the Practicum means 30 writing sessions—which provides 30 opportunities to assess creation.
This system is comprehensive and can be used to track your own activities.-Assessment and improvement
Every time you sit down to write, you’ll fill out a pre-Before you start to write, fill out the assessment form. You’ll be recording data about your overall state, your intended approach, and your prediction for difficulty.
When you finish each assignment, you’ll go through an equally beneficial post-Writing assessment.
Everything that can influence your writing session should be taken into consideration: the environment, the mental and physical practices you used, even if you had coffee.
The assessment protocol tracks time spent writing, word count, feeling, and productivity.
You have an expertly structured approach to understand how you’re creating…
…and how to interpret and apply that information…
In short: everything you need to develop your personal writing Process—making your writing better and your sessions more productive.
V. REFINEMENT
Hemingway once said that the first draft is the most important part of any project. For most, this also applies to final draft—because most people don’t know how to edit. Editing is something they do if at all.
Writing is just half of being a good writer. Before anything can be considered ready for publication, it must go through some editing processes.
Great writing can be described as great writing without any noise. Practicum
