What are you working on right now?

” What are you working on right now?” that’s a question I often get. It’s surprising to many people that not all of my most successful projects are complicated or too technical.

Many people believe that in order to make a lot money, one must be able to use complex strategies and techniques.

Think about it – how many times have you looked at blogs or courses and seen stuff like:

• Building funnels
• Marketing automation
• Segmenting users
• Etc

While these strategies don’t have no value, they are useful for large corporations and brands. Some I do use some with great success – it really just depends on the project.

The thing is, those ‘advanced’ strategies ARE NOT what I’ve had and still have the overall most success with.

My success online has been based on simple, repeatable ways to make money. In other words – doing something easy over and over.

a quick introduction

You probably already know me if you are reading this. My name is David Ford – the owner and founder of Aff Playbook. Since almost two decades, I have managed my online businesses.

I have taught many people how to do this, and I am proud of the students who have used my knowledge and made a difference in their lives.

Stefanie and I first met when we were doing consulting work for a company that offered high-ticket in-person marketing seminars. Because we were both involved in affiliate marketing, as well as other online projects, it was clear that we shared a lot. We met 10 years ago.

Stefanie has been involved in eCommerce and affiliate marketing.

Over the years, we have learned from one another and collaborated on many projects.

One project we do together is what’s called ‘low content products’.

This is exactly the type of project that I have had success with in the past.
What are Low Content Products?

Technically, many items could be considered low-content products. We find a few areas that are the most profitable.

To give you an example – one of our many profitable low content product is various types of ‘books’.

When I say ‘books’, it’s probably different than you think – these aren’t books with much, if any written content. In other words – low content books.

These are just some examples.

• Planners
• Notebooks
• Journals

Let’s look at the notebook concept to explain it further. These are notebooks made of paper that you can write in.

So…we’re just selling notebooks?

Not exactly – these are custom notebooks. Think about all the people who buy notebooks to…well, keep notes in!

For example, someone wants to purchase a notebook to keep their recipes organized. They visit Amazon to see the many notebooks they have available.

Then they find a notebook designed specifically for recipes.

This notebook might be a just a normal notebook, but have a graphic or some text about a ‘recipe notebook’, or ‘Chef’s notebook’. You can do more than that.

Simply create your design on any of the platforms that we sell them. Companies simply print them and then send them to you when someone places an order.

Except for listing the products, we don’t handle inventory or shipping. Everything else is handled by the places where we sell them.

This is one very basic idea of course – there are lots of projects and approaches you can take.
Why are low-content products such a great opportunity?

• They’re incredibly easy & quick to make
• You don’t need to invest any money to get started
• You can make a VERY good income if you want
• It’s one of the most straightforward ways to make money online – anyone can be successful
• There are a lot of places to sell them, so your income is well diversified
• They can be easily outsourced – this is probably the only type of project I would say you could outsource right away
• You don’t need to know anything about design
While you don’t necessarily need to promote or advertise more, you can.
Is there any downside?

People who know me will see that I love to share the good and the bad aspects of any project.

If I don’t think it’s enough, I have probably convinced some of you to take a class or join Aff Playbook.

Because I don’t see any negatives in low content products, I’m sharing this first.

While I don’t see this as a disadvantage, it’s certainly not the most thrilling work. Some people may not find it exciting or challenging, as you will be repeating the same systems over and again.
