This discovery has a profound impact on everything.
Because for years we’ve been told it’s impossible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time. If you’re like me you’ve always been told you’ve got to pick one or other other: Focus on building muscle or focus on shedding fat. Never both.
This seems to make sense on the surface. Extra calories are required to build muscle. To lose fat, you need FEWER calories. So how do you build muscle while simultaneously burning fat?
It’s Mathematically Impossible.

First, let’s shatter that word “impossible” Right away.
Each year, MILLIONS of people gain muscle and lose weight.
Don’t believe me?
Fine. I’ll prove it.
Two groups of people are able to gain muscle AND burn fat simultaneously.
Group #1: Male Teenagers in Puberty.
As a teenager, a male’s body releases powerful hormones like testosterone, growth hormone, and IGF.-1. Male teenagers tend to gain muscle mass and lose body fat, even if they lounge on the couch all day.
Group #2: First-Time steroid users
It’s quite common for first-time steroid users to gain muscle mass while simultaneously burning body fat. Because the first-The time steroid user is putting his body through artificial hormones to replicate the effects of puberty.
The first is actually the best.-Time steroid user is going through puberty again. (That’s why steroid users often suffer from voice changes, acne, increase body hair and many of the other effects typically associated with puberty.)
But what about You?
Ok so we’ve proven it’s certainly possible to gain muscle mass and burn fat at the same time by harnessing the effects of hormones.
What about you? If you don’t consider yourself a 13-Year old boy or a juiced-up steroid user… can YOU really gain muscle and burn fat at the same time?
Yes.
The two key principles are…
The Timeline & The Sweet Spot.
Now let me ask you… if is possible to build muscle and burn fat in the same decade? It is possible. You could spend 8 years adding muscle (and fat) and then spend 2 years losing fat (and muscle) and after 10 years you’d (hopefully) end up with more muscle and less fat than when you started out.
Is it possible for one year to both build muscle and lose fat?
Again, yes. This is actually what most bodybuilders strive to do. They’ll spend 8 months “bulking up” • 4 months “dieting down” All this in the hope that you will end up with more muscle mass and less fat.
This is what most people do. It works… but it’s painfully slow and ineffective.
Can you gain muscle and shed fat in one day? Maybe so… but a day is too short of a time frame to accurately measure results.
So as you can see, it’s all about the timeline. One day is not enough. A decade, or even a whole year, is too much.
So Where’s The Sweet Spot?
One month is the sweet spot. In a single month you can both build muscle and lose fat. After 30 days, you’ll end up with more muscle and less fat than you when you started.
You could see bigger arms and a smaller waist in 30 days.

Obviously, I’m not promising a miracle. You won’t gain 40 pounds of muscle and lose 40 pounds of fat in the same month.
But even if you “ONLY” pack on a few pounds of muscle and lose a few pounds of fat… it will make a huge difference on your physique. And better yet, if you can keep this up month after month after month… you’ll completely overhaul your physique in just a few months!
Think about it…
Every month you become stronger, bigger, and more muscular. Every month, your waist shrinks and your body fat percentage drops.
After the first month you’ll see the difference in the mirror. After the 2nd month you’ll look like a brand new person. After 3 months? Well, after gaining muscle and losing fat simultaneously for 3 straights months, you’ll most likely have the kind of body that typically takes years to achieve.
The Science of Over-Eat, but not too much-Eat Well

Let’s talk about what happens when you over-eat. On a long-We know what happens to term basis: You get fat.
What about if you only have a few months? Now that’s where things get interesting. Studies have shown that overeating can cause an increase in your testosterone levels.

You’ve probably experienced this for yourself. Have you ever done heavy duty? “bulk-up” plan? Then you’ve probably noticed everything goes GREAT for the first two weeks… but then it seems like no matter how much you eat you stop gaining muscle and instead pack on fat. In a moment, I’ll explain how you can pack on lean muscle mass WITHOUT fat.
But first, let’s talk about what happens when you under-eat.
Shortening-term basis, under-You can get some amazing effects from eating. The most effective diets are the first two weeks. They produce the best results and the most dramatic results. And it’s because the body is well-These can be used to deal with temporary food shortages.
Take a look at our ancient ancestors who lived hundreds of thousands of year ago. Not all hunts were successful. They didn’t bring home a buffalo or stumble upon a fruit tree every single day. They were likely to be short-term and had little or no food.
If done correctly, insulin levels will drop. This signals to the body that it is time to burn body fat. In addition to melting off pounds of body fat… there’s also quite a few studies showing short-Under-term periods-Eating can improve your immunity, prolong your life, and help your mitochondria function better.
But it gets even better. Because –- when done correctly – short term under-You can also eat “resets” We need a series of hormones to build muscle.
This means that you can jump back into a shorter.-Term period of more-Eat immediately after you have finished a short-Term period of under-You will gain muscle mass by eating again!
This is another common phenomenon. Ask any bodybuilder to eat very little body fat in order to win a contest. Then, he pigs out for two more weeks. He’ll tell you he packs on more muscle in those two weeks than he does the rest of the year – even if he’s just lounging on the couch!

The phase of lean mass growth lasts 10-14 days.
