Roy D. Steinberg, Ph.D., a gero-psychologist with over 22 years of experience, concentrates his work on diagnosing and facilitating treatment of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. He has lectured nationally on the assessment and treatment of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, and on increasing attention on caring for caregivers. Dr. Steinberg is the author of Forgetting the Memories: A Caregiver’s Journey Through Alzheimer’s Disease a guide for caregivers that draws upon his profound knowledge of the disease, its manifestations and treatment, and his great love and tenderness as the son of an Alzheimer’s patient.
Dr. Steinberg has a private practice in Los Angeles that is devoted to older adults and their caregivers. He provides psychotherapeutic and consultation services to seniors in nursing homes, assisted living and other facilities. Dr. Steinberg provides counseling and outpatient services to assist in the management of dementia.
Dr. Steinberg has been licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as New York and California. He earned his PhD at the California School of Professional Psychology at Berkeley. He has been featured on television, radio and print media.
Steven Atkinson, PA-C, MS, A Board Certified Physician Assistant who specializes in Geriatric Internal Medicine. His clinical experiences are extensive. He has been honored with a number of awards. for His compassionate and dedicated service to the community in which he lives.
He is frequently called upon to assist with the medical management of patients with dementia.-Families will be able to gain insight into the disease process by learning about their loved ones’ behaviors. His greatest talents are his ability to educate staff on how to manage different patient behaviors.-pharmacologically. Steven Chairs the board of a national hospice organization that is interested in the “whole” Care of terminally ill patients.
