This is due to innovative techniques and performance styles that are almost impossible with the current tools. We adapted their workshop method to create a set of never before published songs that is both versatile and, most importantly, fun.-Before-Sampled articulations, playing styles, and playing modes that allow you to finally demo and create cutting-edge, sophisticated string writing — the kind of work that is winning promising composers plaudits across the compositional landscape.

These strings have been created to inspire you to think differently about string composition. Collaboration with the London Contemporary OrchestraWe have used technology to create a unique collection of tools and instruments that you wouldn’t find anywhere else except in a sampler.

Main Features

• 6 Violins and 4 Violas, along with 3 Celli, 2 Basses, and the Celli in octaves
• Recorded in tight, dry studio space to give you more control and a modern sound.
• All sections contain over 100 articulations
• A unique ‘Detuned Open String’ Each section will have its own instrument

Each articulation:

• 2 mic positions, Close or Room
• 2 stereo mixes, Pumped or Full.
• Two additional printed analogue FX
• Integrated reverb, matched with the room and controlled via the GUI

The Story Behind the Samples

LCO members were interested in collaborating when we started to experiment with Evolutions libraries. We worked together for two years to create a library that was unique. It captured the performance styles and techniques of a diverse group of musicians and made it possible to create new instruments using them.

The Ensemble category won the 2015 Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards. London Contemporary Orchestra has established itself as one of the world’s most innovative and respected ensembles, focused on commissioning and developing new music and scores, and performing live all over the world. In 2008, co-founded.-Robert Ames, Hugh Brunt, Artistic Directors, and Conductors, are at the top, having worked with a wide range of musicians, creative figures, platforms and artists including Radiohead, Jed Kurzel and Steve Reich. Highlights include sold-Out performances at renowned venues like the Roundhouse, Printworks and Tate Modern, Southbank Centre or There Will Be Blood: Live At the Barbican.-acclaimed site-Imagined Occasions is a responsive series. Live broadcasts are on BBC Radio 3. The orchestra has a strong arrangement, recording and performance record for world class film and television music, having recorded soundtracks such as The Master, Alien: Covenant, Macbeth, Phantom Thread, Assassins’ Creed, You Were Never Really Here, McMafia, Suspiria, American Animals, Moonlight, There Will Be Blood and Under the Skin, and featured heavily on Radiohead’s 2016 A Moon Shaped Pool.

The Overview Panel
This is the interface used to play melodic instruments. This default view displays all possible playing techniques and has a simple mixer.
General Controls Panel
This view allows for further introspection-Depth control of the instrument. This includes all available signals and feature controllers. You can also purge memory techniques to reduce system usage.
The Ostinatum
You can create instant ostinato by adding notes to a pattern sequencer. It’s like an arpeggiator on a synthesiser.
