Overview
Are you ready to get tabletop started? Food Simulation You can show off your culinary skills by creating amazing food simulations
Tabletop Food Simulation This is a chance to expand your horizons in an area that is already saturated with this type VFX. CGI techniques can be found in many foods, including milk, ice cream and cereals.
These projects were previously done using software such as RealFlow or Phoenix FD. Houdini was updated to allow this type of simulation.
Houdini’s most common use is to create large illusions-Illusions of a certain size-Scale simulations can be created using Houdini, including rivers, oceans, seas and other elements. However, in this course, you will learn to take advantage of Houdini’s potential to create small-Simulate quickly and easily
Tabletop Food SimulationWe will make five unique projects from scratch. Every detail is taken into account.-From the initial sketch to the final render, each step is taken one by one.
Solid Angle Arnold is a powerful and popular rendering engine in the VFX sector. It will be used for rendering and shading.
When you are done with Tabletop Food SimulationThis course will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully tackle similar projects. To make the course more personal and memorable, you can also create your own versions.-Demo reel of high quality

Week by week
WEEK 01
Our journey begins with a bang
The RBD (Rigid Body Dynamics), setup will allow coffee beans to fly through the air. This is our first project. To create an elegant and eye-catching design, we will create subtle collisions among them.-Capturing shot to capture the catching effect
We will be showing you how to create instances and set up a project this week. Learn post-We can save time and render the final product faster using production techniques.
WEEK 02
It only gets more exciting! Do you want to find out what our second project will be?
During week 2, we will be dropping blueberries, chocolate chips on a yogurt bed.
Simulations will not be used in this project. We will however make use of the procedural workflow to speed up the process.-Deformation setup based on. This method is quick and efficient with excellent visual results.
Shaders for each element will be created and finished with a high.-Highquality rendering
WEEK 03
Now, it’s time to simulate!
This week we will be adding milk chocolate, coconut crème, caramel to an ice-cream bar. To achieve this, we will teach you how to use the Houdini’s Flip Solver.
We will create emitters, work with different viscosities, build shaders, finish the week together, and then we’ll be able to share our expertise.
WEEK 04
It is still a simulation job.
We will be creating one of the most colorful and striking food simulation shots in the penultimate week.
We can make a splash using a stream of milk and a strawberry. We will play with different collisions and attributes until we find the right shape. We will emphasize Surface Tension, Viscosity and other factors to keep liquids from burping or changing their form.
The work will continue as before and include rendering and shading of all elements.
WEEK 05
This project is now complete!
In the last week, the crown splashes are created. These are highly desired-After.-FX in industry. We will be launching approximately ten strawberries using Rigid Bodies. We will then use Houdini’s Surface Tension to create the perfect motion.
Final touches include the creation and rendering of the final product into an amazing scene.

Tariq FX Animation was the first step on his journey to FX. It is a 3D animation school located in Barcelona, Spain. During his training, he became fascinated by Houdini’s supernatural and natural effects. He has been involved in a number of projects to simulate natural phenomena such as melting wax heads or crowds of Skeletons.
Tariq He is a passionate visual artist and graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. After completing his masters in VFX Animation, he returned to Wales and began work as a freelance FX Artist for international companies.
He is particularly interested in the balance of technical and creative aspects within VFX. His background in Fine Arts helps him find innovative solutions to complex problems.
