Key Lessons
NFT-Gating is simpler than using fungible tokens, but it’s less flexible than gating. They are not mutually exclusive.
Start with the basics. Don’t force solutions. Sometimes tokens are not necessary.

 Hot Takes
DAOs are primitives like NFTs. These technologies can be defined by early uses. They are flexible and agnostic, however. A DAO may be a country, company, protocol or investment fund.
Token-Digitally, gated physical community will gain popularity.-The native communities. Governance, usability, tooling and other issues remain unsolved. Physical implementations add to the problems. This won’t stop us from trying.

 Haters
“Transaction costs are high.”
You desire security that is high-quality-value tokens. There’s no free lunch. Some token-Gated communities use L2s as well as centralized apps to manage operations.“What about speculators?”
They’re incentivized to add value to the community. Their investment is at risk if they do not.“This is exclusionary.”
This is a criticism of gated communities. This is not token-Gated communities. That’s beyond the scope of this report.
