Hi, My name is Vagner Rocha I am a UFC Veteran and a 2x Abu Dhabi Veteran. Jorge and Pablo Popovitch were my instructors in Jiu Jiu Jiu. I began training over a decade ago.
I was about 17 when I first started, and I fell in LOVE with the art. I rose through the ranks over the years. I was an average grappler.! Nothing to write home.
I had solid foundations and was able to have moderate success on the mats and in tournaments.
But then…
I ran into a problem…
Pablo invited me along to some of His Abu Dhabi training camps, and I had the chance to train hard alongside him and some others of Every day, the top grapplers are on the planet!

I needed to create a system I can control them and keep me in my places… This is when, as an experienced brown Belt, I began to play with the Kimura.
I loved the fact that the Kimura could be used to attach people’s arms to their bodies like a straight jacket, and to control their movement.
It didn’t matter how big, stronger or faster they were…
I was able …. slow down their motions
You can even predict and control their next move!
It was my obsession. Slowly, but surely, I was creating these systems or funnels as it is commonly known.
They were able to be positioned in great places like the back or side mount.
